Cascaper chapter 1 . 6/22/2008
"She went to the kitchen and put a damp flannel under the cold tap." -Leave out "damp." It's not damp till she puts it under the tap.

"and an assortment of towels bottles and pills were surrounding the sofa" -Commas after "towels" & "bottles"; change "were surrounding" to "surrounded."

"she said, 'you should have called...'" Capital y on "You."

"Stella drew the curtains and turned off all the lights and such in Mac’s apartment and put the chain on the door." -Put a comma in place of the first 'and' & after 'apartment'.

“I have some falls for you to fill out.”- forms? I think it was meant to be forms.

"Danny, Flack and Lindsay were sat there."- were sitting there

"...but he might no wake up.”- might "not", yes?

"he was wearing a ore elaborate"- probably "more elaborate"

This par. should go like this:

"They drank their coffee as a pianist played, watching some couples on the dance floor. Mac turned his attention to Stella and said, 'Does this beat eating your body weight in ice cream?'

Stella laughed and said, 'I think so!' She reached over and put her hand in Mac’s. 'Thank you.' They sat back and there was a comfortable silence that Stella broke after a few moments."

And this sentence, like so:

"Lindsay hugged a thankful Danny as Flack turned away, overcome with emotion. Hawkes breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at Stella."

-Phew. Okay. That was way too long. I have no idea who any of these char.s are because I don't watch the show, but as a piece of writing it's really sweet. Love. It is love.

lily moonlight chapter 1 . 6/18/2008
Hey, this was great! I really enjoyed your story, it was full of action and drama, and I also really liked the way you structured it with flashbacks and memory. That was very effective, and very poignant as you began with Mac injured. The events leading up to him being shot were full of tension, as we had no idea what had happened exactly. Typical Mac I think to run after the suspect and put others' lives first. Flack and Stella you wrote really well too. As well as the other characters: Lindsay and Flack going in to see Mac, Danny comforting Stella - poor Flack as he is distraught. I loved the ending, of course :)I think the best line was, 'Yes Mac had fallen but he wasn't defeated and wouldn't be out for long, a bullet wouldn't hold back Mac Taylor. Perfect summary of Mac. Do write some more, I liked your writing and would love to read another story by you.
xoxAmyxox chapter 1 . 6/18/2008

Blue Shadowdancer chapter 1 . 6/18/2008
I liked the flashbacks you used to tell us what had happened, mixed in with the present. I really liked their conversations, and the action scene in the building, also the descriptions, especially 'a mass of machines were beeping and clicking, blending into an eerie electronic symphony'. I'm so glad that Mac's ok! It was a really sweet ending :) You should definitely write more like this! Kate x
