ngl I ship Yukiko/Kakashi pretty hard my dude. They're a fun dynamic and bickering is always delicious, plus there's an unusual quality to it that's just... interesting, I guess, as someone who's intrigued by the oddball relationships in fiction. I'd be fascinated to see if she ever caught on to his internal tangents and found herself horrified that she actually started to understand Kakashi, but then, there's this je ne sais quoi about unwrapping a mystery, you know?

This is not the only thing I'm interested in, and I do plan to leave, like, a real review talking about all of the ideas of yours that I like and your lovely atmospheric touches at some point, but I really feel like we need more cool friendships like this in fanfic.

As per "hintedor not) in Chapter 11 'A Likely Story', Sasuke still needs Yukiko's signature, therefore suggesting either Itachi dead or escaped and Konoha just gave up on chasing him. Yet, I might be all wrong. Additionally, in this chapter, Naga became jounin since she has a genin team now, or maybe chuunin can get genin teams too? I don't knOW. I hope that ANBU assassinator dude lived though, I like that guy, and please spare the KazeNaga ship.

Right, there is NO possible way the mission can turn out poorly! Actually, it probably will go well, or at least not be the Three Stooges skit a lot of canon Team 7's missions turned out to be. (Just promise us no shinobi ostriches, please!) In your universe Sakura is not a lazy cheerleader, Sasuke is not a potential serial killer, and genin-age Naruto...is still Naruto. Then again, maybe Shinnin may help some. (Poking Sasuke with a stick is helpful, it gets him to interact with other people and stop being an emo rage-beast in the corner.) I am somewhat delighted in "Naga-sensei", although in truth she is not really that much younger than Kurenai-sensei, and doubtless worked very hard in "The Guardian In Spite of Herself" and received the due reward.

I like how you write the kids, as usual. They seem very natural running about and playing with a degree of ninja skill. I have read a lot of criticism on the Konoha Academy, but here Iruka explains the practical application the best.

I freaking love the insight in this chapter into Sasuke's personality and worldview. The weight of stone as memory and duty he builds into a wall to block out the light and the outside world. And then Yukiko helping him take down that wall to let the light back in. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of Guardian.

I now completely expect Yukiko to be responsible for the pigtails when Naruto develops his sexy justu.
