Reviews for Cold And Grey

Had to favourite this if only for uniqueness. Seamless mixing of two great shows. I haven't watched Cold Case in so long but this felt exactly like one. Absolutely perfect. A

This looks like a terrific story, even though I don't watch Grey's Anatomy. I like that Lily sees her squad as her family. I've enjoyed your other stories-Every Time Two Fools Collide and Fools in Love that I read over on the Look Again site. Looking forward to this continuation! Read your newest, Silencio and I'm glad to see you back writing again. Congrats on your little one and your little one to be!

A great story.

I'm so glad it wasn't Alex who killed Izzie! Of yourse it is horrible what she did. Of course I'm on Donna's side but it's still horrible to think of Izzie as murdered... I'm glad she's alive actually Grey's Anatomy isn't my favourite TV series and Izzie isn't my favourite character but something would be missing without her.

Hey! Scotty was having ... quite dirty thoughts, I guess. He's better be careful. We don't want Cold Case to become such a series like Grey's - all about sex in closets and fights between family members for cases and stuff like that.

I'm glad you stressed the fact that Lil, Scotty and the others are like a family in the last chapter. Of course, they're not always all happy and close but I think their relationship is very important for the atmosphere of the series. Also, it's good to have Meredith, Alex, George, Christina and Izzie together in a room again. Izzie may be dead (in this story) but she'll always be there no matter what, won't she.

Thank you for writing such a great fan fiction. I enjoyed reading it a lot. Your style, your ideas, the music (I could actually hear it even though I didn't swich on the speakers) - everything was perfect. Except Izzie was dead but there always are some minor disturbing points! I'm looking foreward to reading some more of your stories.

Hi!

Wow, somehow it seems to me as if you don't like Derek Shephard much... But it is true, he really is annoying and arrogant and egocentric. It's nice to have someone focus on that and not on his good looks and cool hair Also, I like the way how you describe his feelings for Meredith.

Seeing the series - Grey's Anatomy - from this angle, there really is plenty of room for murders, gossip and mistrust. Everyone could have been the one to have killed Izzie, everyone seems to have a motive... I wonder who was it. I guess I'll just have to keep reading

You did it - you killed Izzy!

Wow.

I figured before I read the sequel to ETTFC, I start with this fan fiction. Thanks for telling me it was a middle part - I'd have skipped it because I wasn't sure wether I ever wanted to read a fan fiction about Grey's Anatomy. But I started and...

It's really good.

I like the beginning of the story, when Izzy and Alex meet. It really is as if the story was a TV episode... I could see the dim colours and the people in the room and I'm proud I recognized every single person I only watch some TV shows, but I started watching Grey's Anatomy last year in fall and even though I missed many episodes (the whold 3rd and 4th season and parts of the 5th, I think), I have a general picture of what's going on.

You really depict Meredith well.

I could see her - standing in the department. Her words, her behaviour - it was exactly like her...

Even though I like Izzy, I think she's annoying sometimes. I just hope it wasn't Alex who killed her.

What I'm curious about is how Scotty and Kat work together... In ETTFC, I could see where it was going. But now you say you'll concentrate on the case and less on the relationships I guess I'll get to see (or read) some serious work from their side! I'm looking foreward to that.

And once again - thank you for your answer!

Sorry for the slightly late review, I've been in Devon this week and am just catching up on everything. I had hundreds of emails!

It's awesome, true to both Cold Case and Greys characters, and it fits perfectly with the usual episode format. The ending I love, it was poignant, appropriate and not too cheesy, which is always a good thing. I was aldo glad none of the Greys characters were the murderers. Not sure I would have been able to look at them in the same way.

Well done!
oranges and cigarettes chapter 7 . 7/18/2008
I never really thought about what happened to the other patient. I was always caught up in the drama of the moment. It's interesting to think about what his life was like. I like the different perspective a lot. Great job :)
ZoeImZuri chapter 7 . 7/18/2008
Great ending ! I put the music in background and it felt like a real episode. When I read the author notes at the end, I was like “what ? no scenes from next week episode ?” ;-)

This last chapter was as moving as most of the cold cases episodes… the witness that hides precious information because of the guilt, the doer that did it in the heat of the moment but you can’t help to sympathize for him, the apparition of the victims and the closure of the interns at the end...

I also liked the irony that Izzie was found by Donna because of the free clinic. I had no idea it was her but it makes total sense. It is also totally appropriate that Jeffries used his personal experience and connected with her (even if I didn’t like how they handle the Isaac Keller story in the show, your use is brilliant !).

And points for Stillman too for harshly interrogating Weber and Scotty for finding a possible on-call room. It still amazes me how many brilliant ideas you can come up in one chapter.

Thank you for this very interesting and entertaining case fic and hope to read your sequel soon. I'll desperately have to find a wifi hotspot during my vacation !
