I've read hundreds of stories and this story is the first to make me thoroughly dislike Sarah Walker. Congratulations!

I like that as a Bartowski Ellie assumes she owes Sarah, they never value themselves enough. Sure Sarah saved her life, although it was in the process of saving her own and Chuck's, but Ellie returned the favour in the helicopter. I would suggest that Ellie is well in front if anyone is keeping score, especially if we consider the points against for threatening the other's life or the life of their loved ones.

Make up your mind. Ellie and John held hands on the way back to the cell and she snorts at him with disdain. Ellie should be having nothing to do with him after fulfilling her duty to keep him alive except to occasionally spit at him and definitely Sarah. Instead you have her act like a skank.
Have to give you credit for avoiding one common trope, usually it is when Sarah says "I love you" that Chuck forgets all the crap, but here you have him forget it even before her declaration.

So now Ellie has forgotten it was Casey who pummeled Chuck and accepts being manhandled and threatened - poor John.

OK I get it now. Now I understand how Sarah thought Ellie did her wrong. After what she did threatening Devon and Ellie it is clear she is a psychopath, and blaming Ellie it's clear she is a deluded psychopath:-) Surely Chuck finds out about the real threat to his sister and brother in law and finally holds something against Sarah. After all he is supposed to be about family. Not likely

Way to undersell it Sarah. Feels less onerous to say "I cajoled him into it" rather than " I betrayed him and bullied him into it".
"I have steadfastly protected him" "never wavered" these retcon the previous story.
Very narcissistic to say that Ellie has wronged her, and to think that Ellie knows that the acts of killing in cold blood were to protect Chuck somehow.

Your two stories were really well written and a great read, if rather too angsty for my liking. Four years after your last Update, I still hope you'll, one day, return and put us out of our misery ad to what happened in the end, although who knows if you even access this account any more? Thank you.

Somewhere, someway, I hope you finish this. I gotta know the heartbreaking end. I gotta see Ellie break Sarah, which breaks Chuck, allowing Ellie to return to Devon.
