I have been reading several HA give, but most I just open, read. chapter, and then close because of the bad characterizations. I especially hate the 'make Lila a slut' trope because it just feels like the authors are bitter that she got in the way of the Arnold/Helga relationship so they destroy her character to make him stop liking her... and it's just so inorganic and feels so petty I can't take it seriously. Lila never liked Arnold and she was really sweet. I don't understand why she gets so much hate, Helga was the abusive one.
oh and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Helga /curly friendship! I think they could have totally been bffs! they are both so theatrical! I bet they have a lot more things in common than love-way more than Helga and Arnold have in common. that's for sure. I like to think they'd both eventually grow out of their grade school crushes, but the Arnold/Helga pairing is still cute.

YOU FUCKING LET IT SEEMED LIKE HE'S OVER LILA AND HE'S ACTUALLY GETTING INTERESTED IN HELGA THEN THE WHOLE STORY KIND OF FLIPS AND IT'S NOW ABOUT HIM WITH LILA AND ALL WE GET IS THIS STUPID PIECE OF SHIT ENDING. (HE WAS DISGUSTED WHEN HE WAS WITH HER IN THE CLOSET AND SHE KISSED HIM THEN NOW HE'S LIKE ALL IN TO HER AGAIN. WTF!) WHY THE FUCK DID YOU EVEN PUT IT UNDER ARNOLD AND HELGA PAIRING ANYWAYS?! YOU SHOULD AT LEAST HAVE ADDED LILA SO NOT TO DECEIVE YOUR READERS WITH THE CRAPPY SHIT YOU WROTE.

This is my fourth time rereading this story and the sense of nostalgia i'm feeling right now is overwhelming. I love this story and your ability to transform children from a Nickelodeon and make them into adolescents. The characters, plot and trials each character has to deal with are realistic and fun to read. I'll try to review as often as i can as i reread but thank you for being one of the reasons i love fan fiction so much.

Great read, the only thing I'd comment on is you introduced Arnie, made a big deal about him moving into the boarding house, then he basically ceased to exist after new years.
