really interesting. i don't know. this harry seems to be really psychologically damaged by the dursleys...his only escape is/was his animal speaking abilities.

I find it fascinating you haev stuffed so much history and culture into one chapter - whew! I think Harry's explaination of his coping mechanism is perfectly logical and amazing. Very good work!

A second note though - First potions class happens before the Troll (Halloween) and Norbert happens post-troll. Are you going to be bouncing through time like this regularly, or was that an error?
