   Azolenia chapter 6 . 9/13/2019 The story and the writing is very rudimentary. You over explain and explain things that don't need to be explained. Give your audience a bit more credit, they most likely understand what you are writing even if you don't outwardly explain it. Also if you ever describe something in the story and are not sure the audience will understand what you are writing, it's best to either simplify or omit instead of overusing your "author's voice" in the story. We shouldn't hear you during the actual story the majority of the time. If you wanna give us a little wink every now and then that's cute but don't overuse it. You ruin the fantasy of your story for your audience. Let the people reading your story use their imagination more because that's what makes a fanfiction so immersive. It's a story that's already been written and shown to readers that is being told by another voice. A different perspective but the same mind reading it. In any case, good story. |
