Thibault000 chapter 1 . 5/13/2018
I am utterly astonished. I had actually read this story a year prior and on a whim decided to check to see if it held up well. It did, and beautifully so. I think the biggest strength of this fanfiction is how completely and viscerally the hopelessness of the crew encapsulates us as readers over the course of the story. The effect is that of a grim, dark spectre that looms in our minds until the moment the crew is discovered, and still resides in the forefront long after the story has ended. I'll elaborate. With every new negative development-the electricity can't be restored, the breach can't be reached, Peppy's condition isn't improving or stabilizing- we as readers slowly and quite painfully come to the realization that no, not everybody is going to come out of this alive, and in all likelihood every crew member will meet their end on the ship. I think the culmination of all this hopelessness and bleakness is reflected in Fox's decision to spare Wolf the pain of a lingering death by suffocating him. Our shock and disgust at Fox's actions is undercut by an immediate sympathy that would not have been there if we weren't aware of how bleak the situation actually was. And when the twist happens(and oh, what cruel irony) the moment is made all that much more powerful and we are like Fox, desperately wanting for our friends to wake up and realize that, hey, it's over, but to no avail. After all, Death makes no compromises. Long review short, this story tackles themes of mortality, fate, and guilt with painful skill. Aside from some minor grammatical errors, this is one of the best tragedy stories I have read on this site. Bravo, taishige and good luck with all of your future works.(This is an edited review)

Classicalpotato chapter 3 . 6/10/2017
After all these years, I finally found this masterpiece again. This was the fic that made me so depressed and into reading more fanfics. This story had made such a large impact in my life and I wanted to thank you for writing this story. Even though it made me cry a lot, it holds a special place in my life.
RedPandaLord chapter 3 . 1/18/2016
I love this story. Never before have I read such a tragedy that has compelled me to read to the end. A beautiful, enchanting, and compelling story that has brought forth my emotions so powerful. You have written these words. You have brought these tears that water in my eye. You have inspired other authors to write as well as you do. You have the best story I have ever read thus this far in the tragedy side. We as authors will respect these emotions that has dwelled inside for so long, only to be compelled by powerful words. You have my eternal support to write such stories that I, myself feel inferior to. May your legacy live on.
SSMinos chapter 3 . 10/13/2015
I loved this, is amazing story, verdaderamente buena y me puso bastante en tensión, el final fue muy duro y le dio un toque perfecto a todo.
FurrowStorm chapter 3 . 3/10/2015
Holy crap... what a twist ending. I did not expect Fox to end up doing that.
Nice story though, it kept me hooked, and managed to get me to show any emotion at all, especially at the twist ending.
PaleAngel90 chapter 2 . 8/28/2014
Intense, what happened to Wolf when Fox checked him?, did he went blind?
PaleAngel90 chapter 1 . 8/28/2014
Interesting chapter
Kirito Nagasaki chapter 3 . 8/11/2014
The feels are geeting me. T_T
Guest chapter 3 . 7/21/2014
Why Fox had to kill Wolf? Why? Both of them could survived. Why Wolf had to die? I can't understand why Fox killed Wolf. Please, make an alternate ending where both of them live. :'(
wolf mccloud chapter 3 . 4/24/2014
Man. Just...Oh. Oh my god. Wolf almost made it. Fox is basically insane. Well this is a sad ending. Got anything happy? I don't want to go to bed thinking of falco, panther and krystal killing themselves. Not to mention Fox killing wolf seconds before he was rescued.
wolf mccloud chapter 2 . 4/24/2014
Damn! Two people died. Krystal don't lie to Fox! Fox is finally showing his feelings about wolf, and now falcos traumatized. Stop best series ever
wolf mccloud chapter 1 . 4/24/2014
This is THE BEST fanfic I've ever read. Seriously.
WulverLord chapter 3 . 4/14/2014
The first time I read this piece, I was hoping for it to be a lemony piece of literature. What I got was a brilliant masterpiece in exquisite tragedy. I reviewed this once as a guest without a clue. I review it now as a fellow writer with a story almost completed. You inspired me to write what I do, as I had said before in my review. This work of literary art is gorgeous; the execution was flawless, the suspense was murder, and the entire piece flowed like the stroke of a brush. It is so engaging that I cried at the end. Hard. This piece was a remarkable tale of love, tragedy, and insanity. I'd use it, and did, as a remarkable piece of writing. A year ago I read this, and it's still ingrained in my mind, as yesterday a quote from a movie brought this to mind. This is a remarkable piece. Thank you.
