Wow, that was a really good read, and everybody seemed very IC, especially Casey and Chuck. Leave it to Chuck to get Pneumonia in a CIA safety facility... Loved the angst and the whump, it was all rather brilliant and believable. I would pay to see this filmed. I personally would have liked to see some other POV's, like Ellie and the Buy More gang when they are told of Chuck's demise, but I get why you didn't want to disrupt the flow of your style like that. The flashbacks were a really nice touch and gave the story a very touching feel and made it hurt even more thatChuck was stolen from his life. So all in all, great job! And thank you so much for sharing! :)

This whole story is very well done. From Chuck's reaction to being in danger of being bunkered , and his attempt at running (I guess I'd have liked for him to get a little further but you did it very well), to his re-ignited friendship with Bryce. You had me madder than a hatter at Beckman and Graham and if I were Chuck I don't think I'd have been so nice...good thing I'm not writing Chuck! Thanks very much for this story, and a special thanks for finishing this story eventhough it sounds like you were not really enjoying writing at the end. I hope you will return one day!

Oh, I also want to second the other reviewer's sentiment that you handled Bryce and his friendship with Chuck very well. Bryce wasn't a bad guy, and he wasn't intentionally trying to screw with Chuck's life, it was just a twisted series of circumstances. Unlike the show though, your Bryce actually seems more remorseful for the consequences of his actions, and wants to make amends. A much more human Bryce, and you pulled it off well. Unlike Chuck's handlers, Bryce's choices so far were always for Chuck's well being, so that makes him more trustworthy.

Good story. I think Chuck really had it drilled into his head that he's an asset, and agents burn assets as part of their jobs. I think he's premature in trusting Sarah and Casey again though. Sarah may have been genuine in extending that olive branch, but there's no way for Chuck to trust her after she nuked that bridge.

Awesome angst-filled, action filled story. I especially liked your take on the Bryce and Chuck relationship, most people here seem to paint Bryce in a really bad light. It was nice to see a different side to that.

Unfortunately your story has become AU since it was published - I was confused when there was mention of Papa Bartowski dying in a car crash when Chuck was 19 when I'd seen him on the show lol.

Overall, pretty good stuff, though I would have recommended spliting up Chapter Nine into more chapters as the cursor was pretty small and it was a lot to read in one go. Other than that, I don't have any real critique!

Great story, believable way to put Chuck in a bunker and believable way to get him undead, and Beckman willing to accept that, as well. Not sure I quite bought Chuck just trusting the good doctor to spring him quite so easily but, frankly its a minor quibble with a creative story that had a lot of cool scenarios & you managed to not write yourself into a corner. Seen a few of those where the only way out was to go OOC. Going to read more of your stuff!

Do you know what I find immensely ironic? My favorite fandom is a series of books in which the mains character's name is Harry Dresden.

But he's a good guy, not to mention a wizard.
