I love Marlene's personality :)

(you deserve a thousand thoughtful reviews for your stories but I'm going to leave a looong one on this fic because Marlene is my girl.) ;)

Thank you for filling out a minor character in a real but unique way and giving her a life that doesn't revolve around the boys - though they are PERFECTLY thrown in the mix.

Can I also just say how much I love that Marlene isn't beautiful? That's really refreshing in stories like these and makes her all the more compelling.

I love the juxtaposition of Sirius being oh-so handsome and casually elegant & Marlene being tomboyish and not great in looks alone but attractive because of her spark. And how they're both "good" and recklessly fun but Sirius is eternally darkly twisted inside whereas Marlene's soul is bruised but still pure.

To me it seems like a common unspoken thread connects Marlene, Gideon, and Sirius. Like they're all searching for something in the midst of chaos but have no idea what "it" is. They're hungry for self satisfaction but their self sacrifice comes first, always. (Especially for their families) I found them each endlessly interesting in Fools.

This is wonderful. You have a true gift with words. The entire section about footnotes and brackets is exquisitely done.

I adore how fully you can flesh out a character with a few simple strokes and quirky metaphors. I'm envious! You have such a gift. Your depiction of Marlene living for all she's worth was wonderful and a reminder that no one can count on tomorrow.

You really flesh out a characters (Marlene, Gideon) that are just names in the books. I love all the parentheses.

I love it, especially the Gideon Fabian thing, as well as the paragraph about Sirius saving her life, or in this case, not. Especially because the Prewett twins die, and so does she. Makes you wonder, a little.

This was really interesting. I always loved the first OOTP, especially those characters it seems no one cares about like Marlene, Dorcas Meadowes and Benjy Fenwick (Poor guy doesn't seem to have a single fic about him), so it was fun to get into Marlene's head and learn about her

I loved it! Especially the line about Marlene brushing thoughts out of her hair, it shows just how breezy she wishes she was... LOVE!

I hope you right more stories soon, I just discovered you and I'm loving it all!
