I didn't think this was angsty at all. I though it was sweet, how insecure she was. When she knew all along anyway if only she'd have listened to the part ofherself that wasn't so thinking so much. *grin* Nice.

Wow. That was so good. I imagine Pepper must think all those things. That has much as she knows what her heart wants, her brain is trying to talk her out of it. I loved your take on Pepper. I think it was very true to the character.

Ah. Magnifico.

I just read this annoyingly angsty Tony/Pepper thing and yours just blew all of that out of the window.

The ending was a nice touch. 'She knows'.

I love it. It's perfect. The ending was perfect. It just shows you that Tony does in fact care for her. He became a caring person since he'd escaped. That was very sweet at the end of it. I'm glad she didn't wake up alone. When she saw that he was still there and she was in his arms, OH THAT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. She's a lucky girl.

It's the kind of thoughts and emotions that Pepper would have in her head. It's like we're getting know her struggles and how she copes with them. As a matter of fact, I sorta felt the pain of those 3 AGONIZING MONTHS of him missing.

And I'll admit it. The 'love scene' with her thoughts was just hot and intense. And yes, I'd imagine that she was feeling HIGHLY nervous and anxious but at the same time so consumed with unleashed pleasures during her their intimacy.

I wonder how Tony was feeling during this same situation.

I really think this story will stick with me just because you made me hurt for Pepper all the way till the end. I'm guessing most people (even us old married folks) can remember that terrible knowledge that someone else might have the power to blindly decimate you. Pepper's struggle between want and need were very evocative and true to life...

have you ever considered doing a story of a first time from Tony's point of view? If not, I highly encourage you to try. after all, what is good for the goose should be good for the gander ;p
