This had me laughing with delight! I LOVED it!

First of all, who can resist the idea of S vs. B to the death?

I love the cleverness of your writing. And the pacing- yes, I think that's what it is. It just moves so well! I appreciated the descriptions of the "board" they'd be playing on- very fitting, all the way around- and the set up with Bat-mite and Mixie wasn't the least bit tedious or forced. In fact, it was really fun to read!

So I was going along for an amusing little read here and suddenly, Superman crossed his arms and "No one else in the world could cross their arms like that." BAM: such simple profundity! It hit me like a hurtling I-beam and that's where I fell in love with this story. From there, it just got better and better the further it went along and my amazement and respect just grew and grew. Hurray for Superman really not wanting Bats to give up. Heck, hurray for Batman's machine army and his Frank Miller-esque "Ain't it cool?" (just read the new All-Star Batman & Robin book- got a little overlap from that going on in my brain right now) and his hatred of Parcheesi and hurray for Supes leaving the building with all the familiar-eared gargoyles because he might have been getting sentimental- I HOWLED with laughter at that! this eclectic episode oozes with brilliance and I LOVE IT SO MUCH I WILL READ IT A HUNDRED TIMES!

Okay now I'm getting carried away. Yikes. Don't want to scare you too bad, after all, I've still got quite a few more reviews to leave you! Because you are my favorite Supes/Bats author.

Anyway: GREAT fight scenes. how do you make kickass action so easy to read? ugh. you are awesome. I laughed my head off again at the "Thanks" "No problem" exchange mid-fight. That was just so classic! And then, ah, the poetic conclusion. Hair blowing in "tempestuous configurations" snort-giggle-gag I love it- best line, of course: "And the "No, I'm sorry," he assumed Bruce was going to say got lost in the kiss."

Sigh! Happiness! I admit I'm easily entertained, but at that line, I was downright euphoric.

The ending was so wonderfully satisfying. So completely heartwarming! And just so, so, so "aww!"

Bruce's accusation that Clark had been planning it all along- the WAY he would say that line, I can just hear it! Oh, it's perfect- the icing on the cake! Got a whole new round of giggles out of me just now thinking about it!

So, yes. I loved this crazy little story. THANK YOU, thank you, thank you for this much-needed dose of lol, love, and Clark and Bruce trying to kill each other. grin.

I'm at a loss as to what to say about this latest Batman fic of yours. i guess the title 'Old School Crack Where Batman and Superman Fight for no Reason and Stuff Blows Up Real Good and Stuff' summarised the fic perfectly. as I read the fic, i kept thinking 'why are they trying to kill each other again?'. then i reminded myself of your alternative title and thought, 'ah'.

I assume Mxyzptlk is a magic-wielding imp of some sort that actually exists in the DC canon universe, since i recall reading about this character in one of jen_in_japan's one-shots. and... does Bat mite actually exist? i recall coming across that name while reading one of Jeph Loeb's comics (the part where a young Dick is trying to come up with a name to call his crime-fighting counterpart).

Caught the Matrix reference again. that's the second time i've seen it in your fics. you must've been a hardcore fan of the trilogy :)

the ending, while not unexpected, was still a delight to read. it reminds me of those movies where you have a couple who couldn't stand each other screaming blue murder (and contemplating murder) one second, and lip locking passionately while tearing each other's clothing off the next.

Overall, it was an entertaining read. thank you. it's your fault that i'm now hooked on Batman-superman slash, so i want to see more fics in this fandom from you in the future.
