I would literally pay money to see your story made into a movie:D. I loved it from start to finish, and it only got more intense. Thanks for giving us two different endings. The first one was beautifully written but heartbreakingly sad, while the second mended my heart and tbh I loved it more because I wanted a happy ending.

There isn't nearly enough Fenton in fanfiction, and I love your take on him. He comes across as more adept and less dorky than in the cartoons, but I loved his every scene in this story. I honestly thought he was going to die at some point - I am so relieved he didn't.

Your writing style is gripping and you portray what everyone is thinking or feeling quite well. Thanks so much again for this awesome story.

Ok, this story had me admittedly in tears at the end. I like how you started the story with a crescendo, let it loosen a bit to weave in intricate details; such as the mental debate of both Darkwing and Bushroot. Negaduck, Quackerjack, Megavolt and Bushroot came out well, but Liquidator seemed a little OOC. Also a veeery nice go on the gorey scene, most writers shy to give you that icky details which makes you suffer with the characters.
The final chapter was..heart-wrenching. I read it, then actually went to find the lullaby to listen to while rereading those few paragraphs. Talk about a flood of tears.
All in all, this story was a very nice read, as sad and grusome as it was, and highly reccomendable. Again, thank you for such a great fic.

Thankyou so much for the alternate ending! I teared up on chapter seven and had to remind myself there was an alternate version to read. Your writing has just the right amount of description, narration, characterization, and action. By the way, weary means tired, wary means suspicious. I've noticed this mistake in many other fanfics by other writers, but I enjoyed yours so much I had to comment. Keep on writing!

I just read this story and have to say, I wasn't too impressed. There was a lot of OOC and a lack of detail in the writing (like when the characters are talking, it's not always clear what they're doing, what things looked like). What I DID like, though, was the back-and-forthe with Drake/Darkwing and Fenton/Gizmoduck. I also loved Bushroot's role and I liked how Negaduck started off (in his introductory chaptor). IMO, those were pretty in-character. But, in the later chapters, it seemed like you kinda let it all go, just trying to rush through to the finish.

Basically, your story read like a draft of the plot-outline rather than a finished story.

I liked where it was going, though, so if you would ever decide to expand it a bit - and get the characters a little more in character (Liquidator was particularly off, you didn't even try to have him sound like him, speaking in slogans rather than normal speech) - it could be a truly amazing tale.

I loved the use of the lullaby, "Little Girl Blue" from 'Darkly Dawns...' in the normal ending.

Also enjoyed the alternate ending, though from your summary, I expected it to focus on Megavolt and QJ.

Anyway, to recap: I loved the plot, just think the story needs a little more work in the middle chapters.

This is excellently written! It's one of the few fanfics that I want to read over and over again. I especially like how Gizmoduck finally GETS how tough and self-sacrificing Darkwing really is!

Your writing is stunning, your hold on an audience is breathtaking, your grasp on the characters is solid, your ending was spectacular, I started this an hour and a half ago and should have gone to bed then, but ended up reading the whole story. I'm in tears, I'm completely in your strong grasp, I love this story, and I hope you write more DWD in the future. Thanks for the incredible story.

I am so pleased to have this alternet ending to this story I am and have always been a sucker for a happy ending, althought that last chapter gave him a heroic death, I would rather this ending be the final entry for this story, in finding out, that of the fearsome Five that MegaVolt and Quackerjack also survived, I would assume that Negaduck didn't as he isn't metioned as being sighted escaping the way that the other two had. This is a wonderful revilation to a terrific story. Thanks for re-writing your story's ending and giving it a happy conclusion. Great Story.

This chapter was well written with a sadly sweet goodby as the spirit of her father sings to Gos in her aloness, beside the mortal Darkwing, after his battle to win against death fails, this is a final effort to comfort her. I'm not good with sad endings and the loss of Darkwing, even though sad, is as I said before well written, although, not what I had hoped for. I'll move on to the last offering of this story now...

Quite a thriller of a chapter, Negaduck being dragged under the water, after trying to strangle DW and the trees lapping up the Liquidator, Wow, Quackerjack and Megavolt biting the big one together and Darkwing, after being rescued from death in the deep, but now, after trying to save Giz, could it be too late, We'll see, in the next chapter..

After begining this chapter I realize that I have read this story before, but just didn't review it, I remembered Bushroot trying to rescue Darkwing, befor being doused with gasoline and set a blaze, it's even more terrifying the second time around. Poor Reggie. I'm on to the next chapter...

Wow! What a chapter, with NegaDuck starting to torture Darkwing sadistically and Bushroot offering to lead Gizmoduck to the hideout to save him, I just hope they arrive in time. Chilling chapter, Great Job. On to the next one.

This was another great chapter, with help for Darkwing coming from expected and unexpected sources, I knew that Launchpad and Fenton/Gizmoduck, would be on their way to the rescue but Bushroot heading out with the same mission in mind, was a surprise, I hope they can make it in time to help. That's Darkwing for you, revealing his secret to Fenton and letting him know that he knows that Fenton is GizmoDuck, then when the other hero wants to help, Knocking him out, so he won't be hurt. Only wanting to keep him safe, as well as keeping Launchpad safe too. I just hope this doesn't backfire and get him into deadly trouble, as he goes to rescue Gos. Great chapter, on to the next one...
