Ahh! So many errors in the previous review! Anyways, let's get to it.

CHAPTER 3:

- "Yet, strangely, the windows didn't have curtains. Rather, they had slim, white slats which looked almost like horizontal bars." Yes! Correct characterization with a limited point of view! Unless Haou had been observing our world through Juudai's eyes, he shouldn't know about most things that are normal here. I'm mostly happy with this being pointed out because I had a slight culture shock when I visited a house in the U.S. and found it had this type of curtains, so I can relate.

Being confused or awed by about medicine pills, cars, planes, T-shirts, and motors continues this trend. However, I'm not sure of how much Haou actually knows since he also mentions that there's a refrigerator and coffee maker at Juudai's room, devices whose purpose he shouldn't be aware of. Maybe that was a slip? It's okay either way!

- "Why do your women dress like whores?" I wonder about that too, Haou. Having a mini skirt as a uniform is not just inappropriate, but plain out unpractical. Still, there are girls that like to wear that to school when they are allowed to choose their outfits in real life, so I guess it's not too far-fetched.

- "Swallow them? Narrowing his eyes suspiciously, he wondered what exactly she was trying to do. What if she was trying to poison him?" Haou being incredibly skeptical once more. His doubts are logical and in-character, but I wonder how many of his subjects have tried to kill him before for it to be so ingrained into his thought process.

- "Juudai merely shook his head and muttered something under his breath, continuing to smile." Juudai is trying so hard to be nice, friendly guide, but that's lost to Haou. It's got to be tiring after a while of receiving Haou's attitude, but he's persevering. He even gave Haou a hug! That must've taken a lot of spine, considering Haou is sick, cranky, and very rude as of now.

- "Yes, if he took control of this world, he would have a lot of useful resources to command his subjects." Only 4 days in and already planning how to conquer the world, exploit its resources, and realign its culture. That's the Supreme King alright.

CHAPTER 4:

- "Now, this boy, he could possibly use." Haou is already assessing people by how useful they will be to his future army, which is a bad thing but understandable for his position in the Dark World. Trying to control Juudai and treating him so harshly is very sad though, since his disrespect could hurt Juudai and distance his soul's other half from himself. Maybe it was this same attitude that led Juudai to repress his memory of Haou.

- "Now he would not be able to use Juudai as a tool." See? This is exactly what I'm talking about. No wonder Johan doesn't want Juudai anywhere near Haou. If Haou doesn't learn respect others, or at the very least Juudai, the way he demands from everyone else, I'm gonna side with Johan. (That's a lie. I dislike Haou at his current state, but he'll be better later. Perks of already knowing the plot. :P)

- "Love was useless. They had better things to do, such as help him conquer the world and obey his every command." That's your opinion and you can think whatever you'd like about love, but no one is entitled to be under your rule. Haou is currently being too self-centered and coming across as an obnoxious control freak. That's not how a king should be behaving, but since he doesn't talk much in the anime anyways, these could be his exact thoughts for all we know. I'd prefer it if he was a quiet, calculating and cold person with a soft place for a select few. While he technically fit these descriptions as of now, he does it in the most entitled and belittling way possible. (Yes, I'm displeased with him.)

CHAPTER 5

- "Really, did their society believe they were exercising the full potential of a youth's mind? He thought not." I don't think so either, Haou. In both the yugioh and real life world, schooling education is more of a routine that helps kinds get used to the mundaneness of everyday life. And harsher work would be considered child abuse today anyways, so it's not like they can do much about it.

- "If Professor Cobra wanted to hurt him... he'd have to get through *him* first. He would protect Juudai if Juudai couldn't protect himself." Still very harsh, but at least Haou's somewhat showing that he cares about Juudai's welfare. It's mostly in a 'No one can use him but me' way, but he also admits that he genuinely cares about Juudai as a person too. That's a small, but meaningful progress!

- "'It's like you've never been touched before.. and don't know what to do...' / 'Just let go,' Haou snapped, flustered." Juudai is reading you so well, Haou, maybe *too* well. Soon he's gonna be able to predict your thoughts! Oh, wait, that's already happened. If admitting Haou is rather lonely was the understatement of the century, then Judai's comment is the understatement of the millenia! You gotta give in when you need to, Haou. Embrace the hugs!

- "Since he's in such a good shape, it didn't knock him in a coma like it did for the others..." 'Be thankful you're not in a coma! :)))))' How is this school even allowed to operate?! In real life, it would be investigated after the first student fell to a coma, much less several of them! Oh, well. It's shonen, what can you do?

I hadn't noticed this before, but I wonder who's convinced Professor Cobra into doing this, since it doesn't seem like Yubel has made an appearance just yet. And Haou seemed to be close to Yubel in the past. Has that changed now, as they haven't interacted in years? If Yubel is in on this, then are they (she? he? still confused to this day...) not aware that Juudai and Haou are participating or do they simply not care?

- "'Accursed thing!' Haou seethed, a wave of anger washing over him. He tried to catch the wristband on the bedpost so he could tear it off. Juudai and Johan just stared as he pulled in it and banged it angrily against the metal frame." I know it's supposed to be a serious scene, and that Haou is doing it in earnest. I simply can't help but think of an old, cranky man declaring technology to be the satanic and banging a device against some nearby object. It's comical! xD

- "He waited until she left the room. Then, he reached discreetly into his jacket and pulled out a knife." Of course Haou would carry a knife. Why am I even surprised? (Wonder where he got it though. Aren't the kitchen off limits? And everywhere else he has access to, Juudai will usually be at his side. Unless he stole it from the nurse herself, in which case that would be very sneaky.)

- "You do what you must." As several other users have stated, this line was very much in-character. And it's very amusing too! The first time I read this scene, it seemed to be extreme but logical. Now, while still serious and mildly alarming, it's also very funny! Dark humor amuses me, and many times I end up laughing at things I'm not supposed to. Like when Haou is so frustrated he just wants to thrust a sword into someone or raid a town, so I end up imagining him as a chibi cartoon character frowning in his armor as he rides a little horse to do what he wants.

- "I've seen worse." Yeah, Johan, he has.

I spent so much time looking for this fic! It hadn't been finished yet the last time I re-read it, so I really wanted to check it out. Looking back, it's of a much higher quality than the fics I had seem at the time The first time I read it, the story left me desperately consuming words to discover and understand the plot. I was too shy to leave a review back then, which is a bummer. But now I can see why it was so interesting: it's well written, with a rich language and an actual, fluid, logical narrative that could capture the characters' thoughts and emotions.

Even when most of the first two chapters only had Haou and his horse, the reactions he had to the things happening within the story were realistic and seemed in character. Writing of his thoughts and actions as they occurred allowed the reader to understand his personality better, while his reactions to the events taking place around him built the world. The Dark World feels like an actual place instead of just a stage now, since ambient sounds like Haou's armor, and other details such as the weather and Haou's comments of it aided a sense of space and time.

Some moments were very tense, like when Haou got trapped in the seemingly shallow water that turned into a cave. His inability to escape evoked a distant sense of urgency and panic, even though I knew that he wasn't going to die, while his observations of the changing environment allowed me to imagine the scene vividly, as if it had been animated.

Haou seeing the approaching creature and reaching for his sword to effortlessly kill it was very cool and in character. But him seeing a glint in the water and cautiously reaching to stab it, while equally in character, very logical and obviously clever, was simply hilarious. Imagine someone whose first instinct upon seeing a glint in any river is: "Oh no, a shiny thingy! Imma haveta stab it with a sword!" Juudai would've shoved his hand in to investigate, like any normal person! Only you, Haou. Only you. Still, it does a great job at showing how guarded and observant he is, since there have surely been many assassination attempts in the past.

For now, he seems very lonely and bored, much to his constant denial. And the mystery fog is thickening rapidly with the mirror shard's monster. I can't wait to refresh my memory with Haou's (mis)adventures at the Academy once more (spoiler?).

I like your stories so much! and I know Its too late to say it but this is one of my favorite stories, since I like fanfics where Haou and Judai are acting more-less like brothers and I cant seem to find many... And this kind of story made my days! I mean mostly the stories would be of either yaoi or hate between each other. And I have to also say its a pretty good plot, what gave you the idea? So... thank you! And I dont really know if theyre out of character cause I havent seen GX yet...

Hello. Firstly, I would like to start of by telling you how amazing I find your story to be. It is beautifully written and the narration is almost perfect. You definitely deserve way more reviews than this. Obviously. But you probably know this already.(or not, that's why I'm here, reminding you,)

I just wanted to say that this story really made me feel al warm and fussy on the inside. It made my day. I spend a lot of time, reading this in the late hours, while I should be sleeping, or getting ready for school. I think I slept about 4 hours last night, thanks to you. I even put on my alarm earlier so I could read a little more, and that's saying something, cuz I probably like sleep more than juudai does. Now I know its been 2 years since you updated, and I really felt heartbroken after I found out I was almost at the end, (how could you leave me hanging with this big emotional gap inside! T.T) but I ask you this. Please update this. Please. I normally don't leave a lot of reviews, especially not like this, but I felt that I had to say it, just so that there might be a slight chance that it will be completed. It's worth it.

So yeah, I love and kind of hate you at the same time.(how's that for mixed feelings? Suck it, haou!)

I finally got around to rereading everything and then the next chapter. It still is one of my favorites. You just have a way with words and are so good with the different type of speech between Jūdai and Haou. I am definitely curious to find out how you continue, whether it takes another year, or even decades later.
