This chapter is hilarious.

I don't know if anyone still reads Lady Chakotay's stories. I sure hope they do, but for any of you who knew her, this is Kandise, her daughter. She was an amazing writer. I'm also sorry to say that she passed away in November of 2008 and that's why there had been no update for this story. I'm sorry for leaving everyone hanging. I know she had more of this story written somewhere and when I find it I will post it. She was a genius when it came to writing. We are planning on publishing a book she had written about her life, if anyone is interested. I don't know exactly when, but I will update whoever is interested when we know the details. Thank you for reading my mother's work, it warms my heart that other people can share in her passion.

This is a fantastic story! I'm assuming that since it hasn't been updated in two years it is abandoned, but on the off chance that you were considering finishing it...I would absolutely love to read the rest of the story!

This is kind of fun...however, you may want to cut down on sayings that are distinctly "Earth-like" in nature. Yes, in the BSG world a lot of stuff works the same, men wear ties, people have rings at the weddings...so on and so forth.

But they don't have Bic pens. They don't have UZIs. They may have pens, they may even look like and work like Bics but they wouldn't be called Bics. They may have automatic rifles, but they're called something else, not Uzi (and an UZI is actually a rather small weapon).

Remember, you're dealling with humans that have never had contact with Earth. They may have evolved the same tools, but most stuff would have totally different "trade names" - i.e., yes, they may have cars, but they wouldn't be Fords or Toyotas.

That being said, the oath to the Marine was hiliarious.
