i think you're ending the pieces too quickly. as soon as you have a good foundation laid & have gained full momentum, you end it. you pack so much into your 1 ch. pieces, the gap between reading one to the next is disorienting and choppy. if you put in sequence together the 2 you've already written and make them the beginning chapters of a multi-chapter, full story; it could be one of the best stories on this site.
