I love when writers elaborate on scenes. This is the first one I've read from this perspective, from Booths POV. Love it.

Just browsing back through the archives and found this. Perfect perspective - especially knowing what we know 7 seasons later! Great job. :-D

So good. Poor Booth. He never has an easy time of anything.

Wow. Oh my gosh... wow! Who knew that such an amazingly emotional impact could be confined to such a few words? I tried to pick out one passage to highlight what moved me so much about this... but I couldn't because I would quote the whole thing. The ending, though, the next to last line... that's where I gasped out a little sob and my heart clenched up. Just, wow.

Interesting perspective, but the way it's written (given that it's implied that Seeley doesn't know about his feelings or hers) makes Seeley seem very ego-centric.

Loved it!

So poignant, so emotional, Booth's thoughts get you so mad, on his behalf, feeling for him to be cheated.

**But it only felt like the beginning now that he was looking at it from the end. It felt so short.

...Omg...loved these words.

**It wasn't supposed to be like this. He was supposed to be close to her for the rest of his life.

Well, for the rest of both of their lives.

...just made me feel tingly...

**But this woman who craned over him with tears in her eyes, who pleaded with him, was supposed to have been even more in his life. More than his partner and best friend. She was supposed to have been his lover, his wife, the mother of his children. He suddenly saw the life together that they would never have.

...you certainly know how to play on our emotions...our hopes...our visions for B&B...you had me with tears in my eyes...for what could have been...should have been.

Then finally, Booth's fighting spirit comes through. He won' be cheated out on something that is rightfully his, something that he has counted on, something he has deserved.

What is there not to love about this, as you can see I have copied almost all of it out again. I think that this scene will stay with all of us for a long time to come. :-):-):-)

Wow, that was really great. Loved his resolution at the end and thinking about the life they could have had...will have, hopefully.

Redemption... ah sweet redemption! Tell me he won't be cheated. Tell me they'll have that life. Yes. I know it must be!

"He wouldn't be cheated.

That was the thought that still clung to him when he opened his eyes to the bright light of his hospital room."

Because we all know... a determined Booth is a force to be reckoned with! And I know he won't allow himself or his Bones to be "Cheated"!

Is there a more superfluous word then Stupendous? If there is... insert it b/c neccessary or not... you deserve it!
