Oh, I love it. So much.

So I keep reading these things to find one that will end my night on a happy note, but it's not happenning. Gah.

Loved it. The scenes you conveyed and the idea of this sort of secret understanding with Wash, Zoe and Mal about how Mal really feels about Inara was perfect. Excellent little fic.

oh wow... really feeling Mal's pain here, and Wash and Zoe would clearly understand what he is feeling, even if the only way Mal could express was to tear up the shuttle and his hand, great job! and the grin, love that! and you know he did, and at the end, hopefully she stays!

ah, this is good. really well-imagined, with Mal thrashing the trunk and shuttle and Zoe and Wash being there for him. Very good idea to bring them in. This rings absolutely true.

Odd how touching this is. In just a few words, you'ce captured Mal's feelings when Inara left, and what she still means to him at the start of the BDM, and that even after the first fight with the Operative, he's already changing to the better man.
