First off, good job...I look forward to the next chapter.

A couple of small points:

1)when you wrote " ...the sergeant aligned the ship’s main laser", this confused me. At this point in time I don't believe that the Alliance has lasers. Would this be the Guardian chainguns that all Frigates have, or is this vessel unique?"

and

2) the captain of the Gettysburg has two different names in the same sentence "Still in his armor, Logan approached Captain McVety on the bridge of Gettysburg. “Captain, this is…well…” Logan stammered, unable to find the words, as he handed an OSD to Captain Diaz."

Other than those two smalls things I found this story very enjoyable. Hope I'm not nitpicking too much. Keep up the good work.

You switched this to M rating? I should be pleased to expect a little more than kissing in these stories then. Are you still going for the OriginalCharacter/Ashley and ManShepard/Liara?

Interesting start.

It seems interesting but there's not much here to go on. Keep writing. Maybe there's more in depth story telling in the next chapter.
