This is the second time I've done a search for the story, and the third time I've read it. (I finally remembered to actually save it as a favorite...) This is with several months between each search, mind you, and it's still as good as the first time I've read it. Its one of the best I've read, with beautiful imagery and wonderful characterization. Thank you very much for writing it. I doubt this will be the last time I'll read it.

Wow, this is what I always thought it would be like for the Sohmas, Kyo especially, after the curse was broken. The idea of him craving hugs over kisses really made me happy. I love to draw a lot and I used to have trouble drawing hug scenes, after all you have arms tangled around each other and such, if your not very good, your hugs turn out very sloppy and stiff. So I practiced hug scenes a lot and my 'models' were always Kyo and Tohru, mainly because I imagined that Kyo would make sure that every chance he was given would not go to waste and that he would hug her as often as possible. Besides, I just love drawing those two. My hugs have gotten so much better, to the point that I can confidently draw various 'types' of hugs and though it's silly, I have Takaya Natsuki to thank.

This story you wrote here captured in words, what I for monthes have been trying to achieve with mere pictures. In my way of saying, this was beautiful. Thank you for this.

I can imagine that hugs would be most special for Kyo out of all the zodiac members because for so long he lived with the one he knew he loved and he had to deal with the though that he could not hold her. With the others it was different. Yuki did not meet Machi until later and so did not miss out quite as for all the others, they each had a sort of embrace with their lover or some one of the sort(Kureno perhaps). The only one I can think of that would be in a similar case would be Ayame who worked with Mine. But I still think Kyo fits this idea better.

Well in short this was an amazing story, I loved every bit of it. You do a wonderful job picking the right words for everything and this is such a pleasure to read.

I once had a discussion with someone over the intimacy of hugs vs kisses, and how a kiss was the cliche "too personal", but hugs were incredibly intimate. The whole body is involved, and the intimacy is on a completely different plane.

This story captures that sentiment. It's poignant without being sappy or angsty - and it's in character. You've written them believably, with incredibly sweetness, and I love the reflection of why Kyo craves that simple human contact (especially from Tohru).
