Make it without romance; just bromance! SasuNaru brotherhood rocks! You could add subtext or springkle it with HoYay! But not change it in to SasuNaru BL. No. Look at the canon-verse. So much subtext that Vic wants to hug Kishimoto-sensei while praying it's not SasuNaru BL in the end.

well, it could be interesting...but naruto would be a missing nin...he wouldn't like that. and he would want sasuke to come back to konoha all the time, which sasuke wouldn't like...so how long would it last?

Okay, I gotta say this was amusing, even though I don't usually care for NaruSasu. It's interesting but if you ever continue, please give Naruto a backbone. He should at least try to drag Sasuke's ass back home, before he does something stupid. Naruto isn't a light-weight and would go against any ridiculous demads, especially when it's to force him away from the village. I know you probably won't continue but that's my thoughts on the matter.
