Nice story! Oh poor Shikamaru!

It was just what I wanted to write. And I will being inspired by you. This is the time I shall base my knew story on.

. ! Just thought you should know! But seriously! I LOVE it! I added it to my favorite a few weeks ago, but for some dumb reason, I didn't post a review... :/ Which is lame, because this story totally deserves one!

It is ridiculously hard to find a good Shikamaru/Choji friendship fic these days! All there is is yaoi! And I think that's silly, because Shikamaru and Choji are pretty much the best best friends in the Naruto universe! (Even better than Naruto and Sasuke! Yup, I said it!) So, imagine my delight when I came upon this lil' beauty! Short but very sweet! :D

You had both Choji and Shikamaru in flawless character here. Both acted exactly as how they would in the anime/manga. Your attention to details is also great; I loved the little things you added in as insight. (For example, the bit about Shikamaru being a brooder. So true! I had never thought about it like that before!)

The ending put a smile on my face! I've already read this four or five times, just because I love the way it's written and how underrated their friendship is.

You captured the both of them very well! Kudos to you! 0 (And I hope you'll do more Shikamaru/Choji friendship in the future!)

That was sweet and beautiful and adorable. Shikamaru is obstinate and adorable, and Chouji is adorable and adorable. Did I mention this is adorable? Not to mention 100% IC. You win cookies.

You're made of win, but you already knew that. This fic, though, just reinforces just how much win, though.

Seriously, this is probably a better backstory to Chouji's recovery than canon may have been, should canon have addressed it. The interplay between the two boys is just right, and Chouji's viewpoint is perfect.
