I almost cried during this! You did such a good job

Honestly, I don't think I've ever read a story quite like this one. Something about Vegeta and Bulma just being together and thinking about each other. There is no character interaction, no progression of events, and no resolution. Which of course makes perfect sense. As you stated so succinctly, their relationship is based on the things that they don't talk about; the pain of Vegeta's past, and the pain that Bulma feels from knowing that she can never be a part of it. Their deep, absolute and binding love for each other, which could never and will never be spoken by either of them. Their fears that the moment of happiness they have carved out for themselves will someday end. I would venture to say that this is what should have been on the show, or in the manga, except that I would hate to see this short story diminished in the transformation to one of those mediums. Instead, I will have to be content with reading it here, and with telling you that you have not only explained their relationship and expanded upon it, but you have in fact improved upon the original. From an english literature major, I would have you know that this is one of the most emotional pieces of writing that I have ever seen. Above all else, this piece feels right.

This was a very deep story that expertly depicts the conflicted nature of our somber Prince. It's a shame that we really don't know what Vegeta went through under Frieza's command, or how many people he's actually killed. I think that authors such as yourself come very close to how traumatized he is by his past and the after-effects of it that still linger. Very well done!
