NICE! Good characterization. Nicely written.

You can literally feel the tension. This is a work of pure and utter prefection.

I was looking through a collection of stories, and clicked on this one on a whim. I am not very familiar with the DC universe, but knew who Robin was and thought that Robin combined with alter ego's would at least be interesting. Before I had made it halfway through I had to stop and look up who Slade was. Then I re-read it. This is, far and away, the best one-shot I have ever read. It was powerful, complex, and clear, and I got plenty out of it without knowing who the characters were, and so much more once I did. As a general rule I find DC characters to be somewhat shallow, but this is was deep and beautiful and an accurate exploration of an unusual relationship that I enjoy exploring. Thank you so much. I needed this.

But seriously this story is great. Love it.

Ok, woe. This was seriously epic for a oneshot. Incredibly written, great characterization and emotions, and fantastic job on the details. Really, really enjoyed reading this. I can just imagine what kind of thoughts and questions Amy would be thinking and asking later on. A sequel to this would have been so cool. To see that eventually confrontation between Slade and Dick... Woulda been epic.
