That was a wonderful short story luckei1! I didn't realize it was a one chapter story until I hit the end and found myself disappointed that I couldn't turn to the next page! ;) I've been reading through your many dramione stories lately and am really enjoying the many ways you bring Draco and Hermione together, as well as your development of the characters. I especially like the stories where Draco is at that point in his life where his actions are no longer governed by arrogance and privilege, but rather by desperation and fear. These are 'crucible' times for characters. People often make huge shifts in their self and world perceptions when they undergo great suffering. This makes for a very believable opportunity for Draco to throw off his parents' indoctrination and start thinking for himself. Thank you for sharing your extensive writing talents with us readers!

I was half expecting Draco to obliviate Hermione at the end. So happy he didnt. And so happy when I discovered this was a prequal to the redemption if DM. Im going to read that now :-)

This one doesn't quite make sense to me. If Voldy were to win the war, how could Draco try to help Hermione make it to the other side? There would be no future for her in that situation.
