I have to admit the "how do I look" question is an almost lose/lose for a guy. I don't know what else he could say. I think her hair cut probably mostly bothers him because he liked it the way it was.

It also strikes me that to me Amon's looks are very distinctive, I don't exactly see him blending into the woodwork. Maybe the beard helps, but he's portrayed as a tall, very handsome man who people naturally turn to for direction. In fact in the series in spite of their dark attire, Amon and Robin together are an extremely eye catching pair. They are the ultimate goth duo/couple. Black is obviously the favorite color of them both. Although especially because of her hair and Victorian dress Robin does stand out even more than Amon.

Well written. I like how you went into Amon planning his own escape years in advance. It's cool how he admits that it is better for him to have Robin there, to not only keep him on his toes, but to give his life meaning. All this in spite of the fact that her presence is a strain on his resources and complicates his life.

This is definitely very appropriate for Amon as you have cast him. He's cold, but not oblivious, to Robin in most cases. He would likely feel something like you portray and after some time running with her, would likely try to not purposely hurt her feelings. In short, no Amon's not being a jerk. )

I really like your writing style. It flows very well and feels very casual, but in character and appropriate for whomever's point of view you are writing from.

The nice thing about this story, and the way you have been writing it, is that each chapter is it's own little story so we the readers don't feel left hanging if you don't add to it anytime soon (or again as you keep implying in your notes at the bottom).

Aw... I feel so bad for them, and poor Robin... a woman's hair is her pride. :(

But as for the "do I look fat on this?" thing... I've always voted to refrain from asking that question. There is never a right answer to that question.

I also know what you mean when you say, you lose interest in a series when you haven't seen it for a while. This is especially true with short series like Devil May Cry. We're still memorizing names by the time the last episode rolls in...

I couldn't help but absolutely DIE laughing at that little line. Also, I can't help but wonder what Amon's reaction to Robin's statement regarding her hair would've been. Might that be the subject of the next installment?

I can't really picture Amon with a beard...it just seems so unlike him. Excellent study, though.
