The dialog is incredible! It sounds just like the KR characters! I have often wondered what might have happened to KARR if those two idiots hadn't taken him. He never struck me as evil in the beginning of Trust Doesn't Rust; merely frightened and dangerously impressionable. The alternative that you presented seems quite possible and believable to me.

If I might be so bold as to make small critique, there were a few typos and grammatical errors that a beta reader could catch...just to polish the story. Overall, it's very good, and I look forward to reading more of your works.

I love the title of your fic (even though it's from an episode though, right?). Still, I'd have no idea as I've never seen the show, and it doesn't change how catchy it is. ]

I don't think that the length of the fic is a problem at all! In my opinion, the longer fics are, the better! To me, it shows dedication. You poured out the effort to write such a long one-shot and didn't compromise any part of the storyline in an attempt to shorten it down a bit.

What definitely stuck out at me was the dialogue. Every bit of it was so entertaining, and it kept a smile on my face that got wider and wider as I went through. I absolutely loved when KITT, KARR, and Micheal had their three-way chat. I busted out laughing a couple of times. ]

I also love the detail you put in here. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the working of cars and their parts and whatever else there is to them, so there were a couple small details that really wowed me out.

Anyway, great job with the challenge and I wish you the best of luck! ]

Excellent story, Oracle. Added to my C2, My Favourite Tales. Ah, nostalgia! My childhood revisited! Reading this felt like taking a trip in the Time Tunnel to watch an episode of Knight Rider on a Saturday evening. Yes indeed, nice job!

I must admit that I did not expect to enjoy this fic. In fact, I had thought it would be a chore to read. Boy was I ever wrong. It had me laughing out loud many times and growing rather nostalgic for my childhood and the old Knight Rider series. Considering I hated the series, you have accomplished no small feat.

Lines that made me laugh out loud:

/For a moment KITT wondered if perhaps Michael was the one doing the driving – he wasn’t particularly subtle either – but dismissed the idea almost as soon as he thought of it./

/KITT hadn’t really considered the legal implications of the situation before, but this car was going to get the Foundation in serious trouble if it continued impersonating him while running wild like this./

/Oh great: KITT was in a snit now. Wonderful./

Now I’m curious as to what really happened in the episode.

very interesting i don't think iv seen a story that takes this angle before, KARR usually has to get blown up a few time before he works with FLAG,update soon this has potential!

Rather interesting I might say. Not exactly what I was expecting.

Some tips. Sometimes you over stated a few things. And some conversations lasted too long. I think you got KITT and KARR right, but you lost Michael after the first few peices of dialogue.

Other than that it was an interesting read, and an interesting new spin on the episode.

Keep up the good work, and keep thinking about how the characters interact with each other.

This was full of priceless one-liners, a really awesome chase, and a lot of really satisfying closure...And the last line was a little sad...how will KITT react to not being alone? Will he feel sad that he's no longer unique, or will he feel okay that he's got someone to commiserate with?

But I don't think KITT has to worry. Michael is his, and he is Michael's. )

LOL, I could hear KARR's voice first as that stilted version Peter Cullen used..and then more like Optimus Prime after the upload, full of warmth and inflection. Very satisfying. )
