Why do I never check the last updated date?

This is the first fanfiction to actually capture my attention in a long time. It's completely original and beautifully written and I found myself quickly becoming enthralled by it. There is an extremely slim chance that you will update this or even see this, but I would be ecstatic to read more.

Light's slow decline to insanity is fascinating. I love the way you write him; the mafia referring to him as a bitchy ice princess is just hilarious. It's been almost a decade since this story has last been updated and I still think about it and come back to reread it often. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if you updated. Just, what you have here is good enough for me. I hope you're doing well, where ever you are, and thank you for writing this.

Hello! so I read this fic when you first published it like, oh goodness, 10 years ago. I don’t know if you will ever read this but I wanted to let you know that this story was so impactful and memorable that I still, a decade later, randomly think of it and wonder what would have become of these characters. This is not any kind of entreaty to continue this fic, obviously after 10 years life has moved on but I hope you are still writing in general and I I hope you still enjoy it. Best wishes! AA

Update please...I know that there’s a very slim chance that you’ll update this but please...it’s the best fan fiction I’ve ever read. Not just Death Note, out of all of the fanfics I have ever read your’s is absolutely my favorite.

This is definitely a very interesting take on Light, especially since there's no Death Note and he's not Kira. It makes me wonder how you would have done this if he did have the Death Note, and it wasn't accessible to him. I'm sure it would have been wonderful, you do emotions very well!
Your writing style is also amazing! Hope you're doing well after all these years.

Ah and yet again I have found a work that I have already read. About a year ago I read this and was amazed at the emotions you captured. The second read through did not change that. Thanks once again for the tragic story. I will be waiting if you ever return to fanfiction.

I know this is a long shot, but if the author is ever looking at this site I'd just like to say that, even if it's just a brief timeline the of events until (hopefully) he is rescued and not a new installment at all, any sort of update on this would be appreciated. Some of us can get a little too invested in fictional events sometimes...
