DAMN good story. Great writing. You've set yourself the task of getting inside the head and heart and I use both terms loosely considering who we're talking about - of a weak cowardly killer. You succeeded wildly. I applaud you.

That's so... sad. I still can't decide if I like Peter or not. Probably not, but then you realize that he was human enough to feel *some* remorse, and you almost feel sorry for him. This was great, but I'll say my favorite was Dorcas's part and Sirius's suspecting Moony instead of Peter. The latter was just heart breaking. The way I see it, Peter wants to be happy and relieved that his friends don't suspect him, but instead his remorse and conscience hits him full force when he realizes that they trust him and he's breaking their trust.

Brilliantly written, very sad, very emotional and Peter's characterization was just perfect. Loved it! :D

All the lives he broken up! It's scary how one decision can cause so much damage. Nice job writing this. Especially, Peter's character and his betrayal. It was heartbreaking but so realistically written. :)

What a brilliant look into Peter. Dorcas, in particular broke my heart. Beautifully done. Painful and thought-provoking in the very best kind of way.

Lovely piece. I liked the variety in the snapshots, and the title combined with the 'nearly' in the summary only make this piece more morally ambiguous and interesting.

I never thought of Peter as evil. He was just a coward and when Voldemort needed a spy he went for Peter, knowing that it would be easy to blackmail him into it. I think Peter was just convinced he had no other choice. Anyway, very well written. I like it.
