Wow.

Seriously, you practically just set the standards for this kind of Buffy/Angel/Bones crossover- by which I mean the ones where Angel became Booth-; I don’t think I’ll EVER be able to read another story of this type without comparing it to this bit of work!

Not only do you clearly provide us with an explanation for HOW Angel went from standing up to that dragon in the alleyway in “Not Fade Away” to walking into the airport to pick up Brennan in the pilot, but you even give us a very clear impression of how Booth’s changed since he was Angel and how it affects him when he ‘reverts’ back.

Spike’s final fate after the battle also proved to be very believable; he might have improved over time, but while Angel was always motivated by the desire for redemption since he met Buffy, Spike always struck me as being less fixated on his own guilt and more willing to believe he was worthy, thus accounting for him ‘abandoning’ the good fight while Angel just found a different avenue to channel his desire to help others.

And as for Brennan’s reaction to this latest upheaval in her life...

BRILLIANTLY written, to say the least; the moments with her and Angel- as opposed to her and Booth- alone were EXPERTLY written, with Brennan having some trouble relating to the vampire the same way that she bonded with the man despite their physical similarities in the beginning, but eventually reconciling what Booth WAS with what he IS.

Quite frankly, that’s the best part of this story for me, really; any other story I’ve read based on the idea of Angel becoming Booth has either completely ‘erased’ Angel- Booth’s a ‘reincarnation’ of Angel with no memory of his past- or had Booth just be someone Angel pretends to be, but here you can almost FEEL that Booth and Angel aren’t the same person, with Booth being the cheerier persona while Angel’s the grim one...

And yet, in the end, you also get a strong sense that Brennan became just as close to Angel as she was to Booth even BEFORE Angel got his humanity back, learning far more about her partner than she ever knew before and gaining a unique insight into the world and herself.

In the end, the only questionable thing about this story is the fact that you never provide a more specific reason than ‘the dream told me’ for Buffy to be facing this demon army without the aid of her Slayer army- maybe they’re recuperating from a recent fight somewhere else or something?-, and that’s so minor in the course of a plot which is fundamentally about the PEOPLE rather than the action that it’s fairly easy to ignore.

(And considering that I’ve never been wild about Buffy/Spike, the fact that I’m able to tolerate that part of your plot here REALLY says a lot about the quality of your writing)

All in all, a truly EXCEPTIONAL crossover; thanks for writing it.

Hey, this is quite a good story. I've always wanted to do an Angel/Bones story with Booth as Angel, but I never got around to it and I came across this by accident. I quite enjoyed reading it. Very excellent work. Wonder if there's a sequel? If not, that's cool. Throughout, there was only one question...what happened to Connor? Other than that, well done and keep it up

.GOD!its past 5:30 in the morning...i have been up all night reading this...and i have absolutly no words to explain how enjoyable this reading experience has been...!

this is not 'one of' but i think definatly hands down the best bones fic i have read till date...!everything was PERFECT!my ...and u had Angel who's cool n all but u had Booth n Bones too which are curruntly my uple...and offcourse u had the best ever Buffy/Spike together as well...all in one story!...im so so lucky to have found and read this...u wrote the whole story...every chapter...every paragraph so beautifully...i love how both pairs got their own happy endings...that was the ultimate solution and the best thing to happen...Spike retaining super powers and Bones retaining her memories...

...there is not a single thing that i wud want to change or that i did not like in here...absolutly BRILLIANT!im thankful that a great author as urself got the idea for it...i don't see how this storyline could been done to justice if it had been written in any other way...

...although the status of the story does not display it as complete which leaves me with hope...can we hope for and expect maybe an epilogue in the future!

i would really really really love if u gave us a sequal...even if its not a lengthy one...just something about the times in the future...something else that these 4-5 come across again or just them being happy... !the temptation,the charater combo...its too good to just leave it and not want more...

...n omg!ur chapters were so deliciously long!i had the absolutle best time scrolling down lesurly reading all chapters at a nice comfy pace and not skip to the next pages every two paragraphs like it is with some fics...

Excellent story. I like how you handled the main characters' relationships. It's refreshing to read one where Angel/Buffy don't get together (I don't actually read Angel/Buffy fanfic in general, but... ). Few times I had trouble following the action in a fight scene, but I think those are probably the most difficult to write...

Awesome! Finally a decent Buffy/Bones cross. I had an idea of somehting like this except in that Angel gets his soul back, hara human again! THEN, loses his memory and er somehow years pass and he has a son and a family... I haven't quite figured it out and then Angel ends up as an FBI agent. Yours however makes a load more sense.

Excellent wrap-up. I'm such a sucker for the happily-ever-afters.

You know, I'll bet Angela still remembers, too. It fits right in with her talent for being able to read people's hearts. The thought just occurred to me that she kind of reminds me of Cordy when she became one of the Powers - all wise and everything. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she's actually a supernatural herself. She knows too much! lol

Hi there, yes I loved this story. This chapter was wonderful. It tied up everything well between everyone. Buffy and Spike are happy and Bones and Booth are definitely happy. I am glad that Bones did not forget. I think that it is important for her to remember and accept Booth just the way he is. She has always been someone to help him with his past and now hopefully with his future...

Hi there, I liked this chapter. It was purposeful and to the point. It was sad that Spike felt that he had to hurt Buffy like that but I feel that you will have this one sorted by the time you get Buffy to him at the departure gate...all will end well for these two I think.

I was so worried for Booth, that he would not be able to return to Brennan and now he is ok and going to. What is going to happen at midnight though? Keeping the case under wraps could mean that the FBI and the Jeffersonian will be happy that the bodies that were found were human and will treat it as such (I think that this will definitely be true) but other than making Angela forget what she learned of Angel/Booth I would not like to see Brennan forget. I think that it would be good for her to remember that Booth had a previous existence but that she is totally accepting of him as he is. I want these two together big time. They were meant to be, two souls together forever...

Hi there, I am enjoying this little story so far. I have always thought of Angel as a "Tragedy" Nothing but nothing every ended up happy for him. He saw many people come and go in his life through his 250 (and some change) years. He loved and lost Buffy, he did not love and lost Darla. He lost his son on so many levels and so many ways. He lost Cordy. He lost all his team at some stage. His whole life was a tragedy and so were the lives of others around him. I loved him though and I wanted so much more for him. I wanted peace and happiness for him. I wanted the Shanshu Prophesy to come through and for him to become a real person again. Now that he is Booth and living a happy life with a son and a friendship with Bones that could be so much more PLEASE PLEASE do not continue this travesty with him. Please let it end up positive for him and Bones. We are talking about Bones and Booth here NOT Angel. Give them their happiness and likewise give Buffy and Spike theirs.
