Even though it's really sad and horrible that Ukitake died, I have to agree with Shunsui- what an irony... to write your journal in the present tense and in the third person...

I like it that he wrote that one should never give up while at the same time admitting that he'd have liked to give up often.

Touching, if slightly repetitive. I'm always happy when talented authors decide to give Jyuushiro a chance in the spotlight.

Really beautifull and moving story. I cried. I'm still crying while reading it. Ukitake is one of my favourite characters (the other one is Byakuya, of course). I can say that the end really suprised me and I didn't expect that the whole story is just a part of Jyuushirou's journal, really. It was good idea to end it like this (but I still belive that anime won't end with Jyuu-chan's death).

I like that words. Although I cried when I read that Jyuu died, I had to smile at these words. It just suits him so much...

Oh my goodness I almost cried! I thought something was up when there were quotation marks at the beginning. It's so sad...poor Ukitake. I was waiting on reading this one because I thought it was going to be sad. I was right, but I'm glad I read it. It was very deep. It takes a lot for me to cry, and you were very close. That was really beautiful...Oh god I'm really crying here...I really love the Character of Ukitake Jyuushirou, and you just covered his life, personality, deepest secrets, fears, his realtionship with his better half, (Shunsui!) and the people he lived with. it was brillant. well done.
