Reade-Queen-Of-Versailles chapter 1 . 5/6/2018
BXISBXTAGSJDYZBW this is so saaaad! So emotional… I just have something in my eye, that's all… I loved the first section, the friendly banter was hilarious, and everything else was so touching and beautiful and geez I really need a tissue…
hellraven-ovo chapter 1 . 2/26/2016
beautiful ;v; I really enjoyed the banter between Moses and Rameses, it really makes me smile and ache because I know what's going to happen.
Let my people dance though...omg
Guest chapter 1 . 1/24/2015
Beautiful! I really love this and I appreciate how you used the relevant scriptures as line breaks. That was a nice touch.

i thought it was Hecket, not Heqet
Hathor-Aroha chapter 1 . 6/2/2013
A beautiful and sincere story told between two brothers, Moses and Rameses, a rare gem on . I've been looking for so long for stories between the two brothers that were NOT slash, and here I found a gold nugget that shone like Ra at midday!

I think it was a nice touch that you also made references to the Exodus story in the bible as well, especially with the verse quotes from that part of the holy book.
Phosphorescent chapter 1 . 12/30/2012
Atmospheric and well-written.
Deleted11152015 chapter 1 . 7/20/2012
'The morning star is dim in the sky, eclipsed by a harsher light.'
I love that line.
It's a good one, could stand some work, but it is really good.
Haley Renee chapter 1 . 9/22/2011

CampionSayn chapter 1 . 6/29/2011
Sa!

And after looking about this section forever, I find this little nugget of gold. Truly, this is a bit of art! And I do mean that, considering most Prince of Egypt fics are short and without that much detail. Loved this!
Hamelia Le Claire chapter 1 . 6/4/2011
That was so beautiful. It made me cry a little bit.
RabbitHash2016 chapter 1 . 9/26/2010
You captured all of Moses' emotions and regrets perfectly with this one. Lovely job. :)
corriandar chapter 1 . 8/10/2010
Holy crap, this is pretty much the best thing ever. I really loved your characterization of both Moses and Rameses, it's been so hard to find anything decently written about them.

Any recommendations? :)

But really, I'm in love with this story and I hope you write more :)

Gentle Music chapter 1 . 5/27/2009
Wow! This story is very well-written. Your writing style is quite effective for the story's content. It heightens descriptions and emotional elements. I really like how you created such a great contrast from the light-hearted beginning to the despair at the end. I like the humor you used to depict the brothers' early years. You portrayed Moses' emotional state in the second half very well: the pain, despair, frustration, and anger are real and agonizing.

Well done!
Selina Novella chapter 1 . 3/31/2009
Beautiful and it makes me cry. The let my people dance bit made me laugh. I wish he could have just stayed.
Garboil chapter 1 . 3/8/2009
I've been convinced for years that Yahweh needed to die in a fire for that "hardening Pharaoh's heart" bullshit He pulled, but it had never occurred to me to consider it from Moses's angle.

It becomes about twenty times more heinous, doesn't it? Wow. Because Moses is totally stuck with Him; it's not like he can just refuse to lead his people out of Egypt, so he's forced to collaborate with the guy who's torturing his brother just to show off.

Which he KNOWS he's doing, because Yahweh can't just quietly be a psychopath in His own head, He has to go and tell Moses about it. Even though it has no effect on anything other than to make Moses's already hellish life that bit more hellish. (And to raise awkward questions at the Passover seders of future generations.)

Wow. And I thought Exodus was full of fail _before_. Stay classy, Hashem.

Very well done. I thought the movie did a surprisingly good job of capturing the horror of the whole thing, and you've been very true to that, and to the characters. Good fanfic.

Also a rather good midrash. Bravo.
