I know this is years late, but damn, wow.
This was difficult to read for all the right reasons. What a smooth job of conveying an abusive relationship at the core of a character maintaining potential. It’s very clear but not clumsily heavy handed. It’s works like this that I reread to become a better writer.

I love how unique you made each zanpakuto, and their personalities. I especially like your idea of Hisagomaru. He is very different than the version in the anime, but I like how you depicted him, and I think I like your version of him better.
