I GASPED! I am enjoying this so much. The emotions are so palpable reading this. Wow! I had a slight feeling about the father but it still took me aback when it was confirmed!

I've tried to read this fic multiple times because it's always in the top recommended Dramione fics, and I can never finish it. The crazy hoops and hurdles and twists to make Hermione always the poor whiny victim just pain me, not to mention that everyone ADORES her or HATES her. There's no development/explanation for Slytherins embracing her easily and never once mentioning blood purity. Her and Draco have the chemistry of a wet blanket.

The exposition/monologues are just excruciating. They repeat themselves over the same old points over and over. And any weird contrivance to make Hermione the victim again happens (e.g., Lucius attacks her in the Manor, and THAT'S the impetus for Narcissa's acceptance of her husband being lost to his madness, not him nearly KILLING her own son?)

Dramione is my OTP. I honestly think the author is great with words, story development, etc, so this isn't a slight on their skill, but maybe this fic just isn't for me. It's odd because I love like 99% of the top recommended Dramione, I suppose this is the 1%.

This story... I think it's the most like real life story that I've ever read. No one was perfect or completely happy and it just made everything seem so real. The way you characterized Hermione's struggles really hit deep because I've felt like that too and I just... Thank you for writing this

I am not one to cry. I have to admit this chapter did make me tear up

I am not the type of person to gush about how im "crying literal tears" but goddamn this story... There were moments when i choked up, had blurry vision but had to keep reading in the hope that it got better. This was artfully done and im so glad i read it. Your Draco was amazing too and i love the back and forth push and pull between the characters especially when their friends got involved... Amazing.. Just amazing
