Bookworm! Now you did it. You gone and made me want Indian food. Luckily I live in Chicago and live within walking distance of our famous Devon Avenue (Little New Delhi). It's a mile long stretch of city street that is entirely settled by folks from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It smells amazing and the colors are vivid and dazzling. It's one of my favorite places to shop. Dupioni silk for 11 dollars a yard when you pay 15 and up in fabric stores! It's just a feast for the senses.

I have to admit, onion pakora is yummy, but my faves are saag paneer and chana pindi, but only when they're paired with fresh naan. Chicken tandoori and veg. samosas rock my world, the latter especially in the winter with tamarind sauce. Oh, and one of my best friends at work is from Pakistan and has a side catering buisiness. She's teaching me to make Pakistani/Indian food. So far, my samosas are actually begged for by my friends.

Thanks for such pleasant thoughts during a very annoying and frustrating week. I owe you one, Books!
