Riley, this was lovely. Nice use of canon, and your Maigrey and Derek were both in character and developed nicely through your narrative. Good to see the background to their current situations. The Archbishop was wonderful, and I was glad to see someone happy for them..and to see them happy before all the trouble of the books. Great idea, well executed. Looking forward to more :)

:::does a silly Happy dance and singsongs::: I've seen some of the sequel to this and nobody else has! And it's good! And the Archbishop is the greatest minor character. I wanna see Amodius's face turn purple when he sees the marriage certificate...and I bet what's-his-name throws the most amusing hissy-fit when he discovers his promised new toy has been stolen out from under him...
