This has been on my favorites list for a while and I am just now getting to it.

I love how you can convey such simple words into something so powerful. Zack is truly an amazing friend. I wish I had a true friend like Zack.

You've really made all of these entries significant. You showcase characteristics and the way these two guys relate to one another with well handled emotion. The "Blur" entry got me like nothing else, seeing how something Cloud was especially accomplished at was dismantled and dragged through the dirt like no other. "Soul", "Goodbye", "Never", "History", and "Brother" also had especial impact. "Believe" was a great way to end, and really encompasses some of Zack's core traits.

A lovely retelling of Zack and Cloud's story in little increments. You captured each little moment perfectly. Well done.

I don't know why, but I just started crying about half-way into this. Something about it was just so beautiful. You were able to convey such simple details about their friendship that made their bond seem very real. The Zack/Cloud friendship is probably my favorite pairing in FF7. Ha, ha, it's actually really hard to find friendship fics of these two without being lovers. The unconditional love that Zack showers on Cloud even in his darkest moments is just so touching. I actually really liked this one, "'I hate waiting,' Zack grumbles, elbows propped on his knees, hands fisted in his hair; Cloud fidgets a little beside him, more out of a sense of solidarity and respect than real restlessness, but he doesn’t have to know that." It's just so subtle, but it captures Cloud's affection for Zack so well. You also managed to convey the long lasting guilt, and haunting memories that Cloud suffers from. Above all else, Cloud just misses the friend that loved him enough to drag his comatose body around for a year, and then die for him. I'm still crying a little bit. I didn't expect this piece to hit me so hard. It wasn't just one of them, but all of them together as a whole that made such a big impact. Thank you very much for this beautiful little piece _
