Why do I always cry after reading this! I've read it almost a thousand times and it still manages to bring tears to my eyes!

I mean, I write sad LxLight fanfictions too, but this one just tore my heart apart. Anywho's, keep up the great work... and keep writing sad fanfictions too " They're nice... in a sad kind of way.

Omg... L... Light... Nooooo... I'm dying of sadness...

That. Was. So. Mean. But so very, very fitting. This ending suits the story so well. Canon didn't end happy either. Still, this was sad. Poor Raito. Even when he tried to do what was right all he has for it is heartbreak. Beautiful work.

So somebody pushed Raito into using the Death Note, Raito didn't want to, and was killed?

Light still has his memories, and helps L.

L did see, but for some reason he considered it necessary to argue against him.

No, L wouldn't die, L accepted Light's gift.

Raito, trying to stop Mello and Near from prying into his feelings about L, told them about one of misfortunes which has befallen him. He cannot share the fact that he killed thousands of people, he can similarly tell half-truth about suicide, and he can hardly tell about the 'what-if's shinigami showed him.

How can Raito know whether L is dead or in coma? Or did L give the injection to somebody else?

I hope it's the truth. I hope L is alive.

Perfectly bitter, perfectly sweet, I can agree. But not perfect, perfection is when people don't die, don't force, don't abuse; when human's death is only going to arrive when you are old, deaf to pleasures of life, when you are bored by the tedium, not when you want to live. But perfection is hardly ever possible. Just... Don't abuse your power, don't force others, don't take away humans' choices.

This is a good story but I'm not going to lie the age difference is creepy...you should probably put a warning for it in the summary

That was so freakin sad. But why? Why did it have to end like that? Bittersweet is right. This is well writteen. I cried at tthe end. That's how sad it is.

I totally did NOT see that coming! I LOVED IT! It was so sad, but so perfect for the situation! I would have liked it if it was a happy ending, but this one is more realistic, especially since the shinigami probably would manipulate things that way. Why would they let Light have a second chance? Just to end Kira's reign and then they spirit him away. It seems accurate to what a shinigami would do. Any way, this story was AWESOME! I wish you the best of luck in any future stories.
