This is AMAZING. This is beautiful. It's just gut-wrenchingly lovely, even though it's deeply sad and brimming with angst, because of course it's sad-it's almost a testament to the characters. Because you can only be so very sad like this when you love someone so much.

And, dammit, I want to give Remus cuddles. Lots and lots and lots of cuddles.

That was - beautiful! Really. I loved it. It did make me sorta sad in the end ('cause it wasn't that light at all, wasn't it?) but I loved it still. I especially adored your style, it had such a good pace and the right metaphors and comparisons at the right time. Best part was Remus quoting that line from Edna St. Vincent Millay's poem - it was a fantastic image, perfect. I could just "fell" the atmosphere, a bit awkward, utterly terrified, heartbreakingly sorrowful, yet a glimmer of hope left still...

Thanks for writing this, you did a wonderful job. Oh, and I'd like to fave it if it's okay... ;)
