Reviews for Hell for the Company
jbjthbh chapter 26 . 8/22/2019
The sheer scope you pulled off in this amazingly complex fic is staggering. Damn
MrBunnySensei chapter 26 . 3/1/2017
This story impressed me, in a way few do. Thank you for the journey.
systrami chapter 26 . 10/20/2016
I remember reading this story years ago, and I loved it. And now I rediscovered it and find out there's a sequel?! Day made.

I really like Callista and how she is kinda torn between her human side (Tun) and her more demonic side (Nerothos).
Ihsan997 chapter 26 . 12/14/2015
Thank you, Mirari. Thank you for writing this - it was great from beginning to end. I loved thr story, I loved the good ending for Tun, Nario and Karthol, and I loved how they learned to get along. I hope Tun and Nissa work things out.

I'm absolutely fascinated by the ending...the way you didn't let us know her decision is amazing. I don't know if you still check the site. I'm dying to know her decision, but if you keep it a secret, I understand.

This was also the first story I read without skipping to the end to spoil it for myself. It was torture but that's part of what made it so good.

I truly hope to see these characters again and find out what Callista chose, but if not, I'm still happy. Never stop writing! You rock!
Ihsan997 chapter 25 . 12/14/2015
Oh, now I feel silly...Nerothos is indeed a demon. And the characterization here was spot on. Rather foolish for this reader to forget that.

Miserable bast, but at least they're all back on Azeroth and near a place where they can get Narii help. Run, Callista, run!
Ihsan997 chapter 24 . 12/13/2015
"You did the right thing." "You can't prove that." omg best exchange ever!

What a way to top off an epic battle. Judging by the nostly humorous stories of yours I read before this, I didn't expect it to end so well. You seriously think that you don't do action scenes well? You freaking rocked this one, treat yourself to Dairy Queen for this!
Ihsan997 chapter 23 . 12/10/2015
Yeaaaah
Yayayayayayauyayaua yaaaaaahh

Callista finally tricked Nerothos! And in a really, really cunning way! Even if Nerothos intended to keep her alive anyway, I'm bouncing off the walls. You played this so well - waiting so many chapters in to do so, it just works out perfectly!

The action here was also very descriptive and well done, but I'm just so excited about her trick that I can't focus on anything else!
Ihsan997 chapter 22 . 12/8/2015
I got so excited at the thought that Callista might have made Nerothos bleed...I'm still pining for her to get the better of him somehow. Though in the more immediate sense, a big issue is wondering how they'll survive the big battle...which seems to have started, judging by Tun's rude awakening.
Ihsan997 chapter 21 . 12/7/2015
In one of your notes you mentioned difficulty in writing action scenes, but this was like a bucket of awesome in the face. Very well done without turning into a boring transcript for an action movie, and the switch to Narii's perspective was very skillful.

And when she and Nerothos were nose to nose...I wanted her to at least try to pull him, knock him off balance, or say something really awesome and mean that got into his head again, or...or...let me stop right there. It was a great scene.

But the army...seriously, who is still chasing them?
Ihsan997 chapter 20 . 12/6/2015
This was a really awesome scene - and a complex plot. But through the portal...what will our reunited group find?
Ihsan997 chapter 19 . 12/6/2015
Yaaay Karthol is back! But the poor guy seems awfully sad; he does have reason to be. If only our heroes could get along better...circumstance has eroded their cross factional trust - except maybe in Tun - but they're going to need to get over it real fast.

Nerothos, are you hot and cold, or is it just my reactions to you?
Ihsan997 chapter 18 . 12/4/2015
Ha ha, Nerothos you everlasting jerk, Callista finally said something that got under your skin! I was grinning like a fool at that part.

The reunion between her and Tun was very touching; I hope that Narii and Karthol receive the same, but I have a feeling that seriously violent conflict is afoot.
Ihsan997 chapter 17 . 12/3/2015
I'm glad that you let the reader know that Tun is still alive; it really would have been heartbreaking to believe, like poor Callista, that he died. (Though "poor Callista" feels like an odd phrase)

And there's that characterization again. Nerothos, you callous piece of trash...I'm assuming he squeezed on her shoulder to close the wound but it still seemed strangely aggressive. The web you've woven is awesome, by the way - it's tangled in terms of its alliances and connections, but still logical and realistic.
Ihsan997 chapter 16 . 12/3/2015
Callista has a conscience! Or at least some vestige of one. Ironic that it proves its existence by her helping Nerothos of all people. I haven't played my own warlock in so long...can demons learn trust? Because she's certainly shown him what a fool he was to assume he knew her.

But Tun! Oh poor Tun, I hope Narii did...well, something at the last moment. What a brave little guy.
Ihsan997 chapter 15 . 12/1/2015
This reminds me of those epic films where multiple groups of heroes are stuck in different pickles at different times. It's riveting, exciting yet almost stressful because I worry.

Callista hasn't shown up yet but I have a feeling she'll make it to the end. I also keep having this giddy fantasies where Nerothos stops being a jerk, reveals that he tolerated Callista's rejection of his plans because her spunk caused him to gain a sense of respect and then fast forward to her pissed off and pregnant with half demon babies, shouting at him to go mow the lawn while he wonders how he was reduced to that.

Am I shipper trash?

Anyway, the more immediate question is: will Narii, Karthil and Tun survive to the end?!
