I must say, at the part when Moran was about to shoot Watson I pretty much stopped breathing... which just shows how awesome your writing was!
one thing that I thought was amazing was how easily you could write in both Watson's POV and Holmes's POV. at the end I wish you had a little bit more in Watson's, to show his emotions at Holmes coming back, but overall it was a spectacular story!

This tale was really moving and I absaloutly loved it. You always get the relationship between Holmes and Watson right which i love in a Holmes fic :)

"As I worked on the flimsy lock of the back door, I could not help but grin at the remembrance of the many times he made me practice on the door of the sitting room – he had been so proud of me when I finally got it open that first time!" I loved this quote and sense an underlying story of it's own in there. A real light, humerus yet heartfelt fic might be worked out of that. Do you think you could write a one shot for me please? Pretty please? I do love your writing so :)

I'm glad that I've finally read this story, it's actually better than EMPTY, in my opinion. The first chapter really put off back when I first tried to read this (back when I first added it to my favorites), but once I managed to get past that first chapter, you had me, hook, line, and sinker.

I especially liked Mycroft being with Holmes for the rescue...especially with the comments about his weight.

You did really well with the suspense in this story, you managed to outsmart me for once. I never really suspected that Moran had Watson where he did until it was revealed (though I did have the thought that it would absolutely wickedly brilliant if that were the case prior to that revelation, I never really thought that it was going to happen, though I was hoping for it).
