lainly chapter 1 . 5/18/2015 Kudos :) |
Werde Spinner chapter 1 . 8/19/2013 D'awwww. Very beautiful story. :) I especially like Watson's commentary as he reads the manuscript and then him giving Holmes a hard time over being a 'burden' - just messing him him. Good times, good times. |
nimagine chapter 1 . 5/22/2013 This is brilliant! Simply perfect. It took me forever to get through BLAN because I could not stop laughing when I imagined Watson reading the opening! This is marvelous. Your characterization, I think, is spot-on. And I was laughing helplessly pretty much the whole time. |
PBIceCream chapter 1 . 1/1/2013 I suppose one could say that Watson was forced into the role of Holmes' beta reader ;). That was quite funny, and very familiar, especially for fanfic authors, thank you! |
Azolean chapter 1 . 10/11/2012 Yep, not the first time I've come across this in my random wanderings through this fandom. I absolutely love this piece. It is a wonderful portrayal of the characters that has me hearing them quite clearly in my head. Thank you so very much for this. |
cjn chapter 1 . 9/26/2012 When I read Blanched Soldier, I wondered what Watson's reaction to some of those lines would be. This totally made my day! …And here it is that I miss my Watson. "About time." "Will you finish the blasted thing?" |
Mister D8a chapter 1 . 9/6/2012 Brilliant. Very amusing. James |
forgetmenotjimmy chapter 1 . 4/23/2012 Very funny and very sweet, loved it! :D |
yamina-chan chapter 1 . 3/20/2012 I have never read 'The Adventure of the Blanched Soldier' in it's original english form (in fact, i belive I've only read one original SH story in english...if at all, I am not quite certain at this moment) but it seems Holmes had even more troubble with writing then I remembered. I really like this conversation. Not only for the fact that it is something a writer can identify itself with but also the friendship and humanity in it. Good work on your part once again |
Bluebellbird chapter 1 . 1/9/2011 Hilarious and touching! Great job! |
Sirius-Black-is-not-dead chapter 1 . 9/27/2010 Humorous and a wonderful example of friendship- a worthwhile read indeed! |
NerdyNel chapter 1 . 8/13/2010 Absolutely hysterical! I could quote the whole thing here, but my favorite bit has to be, "You know, I didn't believe it when I first heard that. I mean, bees?" Isn't that everybody thought when they heard about Holmes and bees? "I am in the process right now of gathering notes for a book upon the subject. I am thinking of calling it /A Practical Handbook of Bee Culture, with Some Observations upon the Segregation of the Queen/. What do you think?" Such an unfortunate I love it; you're amazing. Off to read more of your work now.:) |
Earelwen chapter 1 . 6/15/2010 Absolutely brilliant! I laughed aloud all through that! Love bickering Holmes and Watson. I always wish Doyle had kept them living together into retirement. Doesn't seem right having them only keeping up a rather poor correspondence with each other... Love your writing! You've really captured the two of them and I love the way you write their relationship. Keep up the excellent work! |
Carriewhowasreading chapter 1 . 5/26/2010 Love the by play, well dome Same thong that has helped longevity of Kirk /Spock /McCoy. Popularity |
chibiaries chapter 1 . 8/25/2009 "Hmph. They really are a fascinating study, Watson, you know? I am in the process right now of gathering notes for a book upon the subject. I am thinking of calling it A Practical Handbook of Bee Culture, with Some Observations upon the Segregation of the Queen. What do you think?" I stared at him with something akin to horror. ... I bet Watson's face resembled this: O_O' And he mentallty face-palmed. Holmes is hilarious even when he's not trying to be. Muahahahaha. |
