I did NOT expect to like this. But, I have to say I thought it was excellent. The only thing I can say is that Neville seemed a little OOC when he was yelling at Luna about the rocks for no apparent reason - it was never explained why he was so angry, and in the books he never gets angry without a VERY good reason. It doesn't seem like him to be hurting Luna like that.

very cute- the omelet line at the end was darling, especially. :D (figured it was about time i checked out one of your fics, neighbor, and this one was the perfect length and near the top ;))

really, an enjoyable read, and the Neville/Luna was light and not overly fluffy, still friend-ish enough to be a good transition. i'm not crazy about 1st person HP fics, but this worked nicely since it allowed Neville to offer comments- the bit about his Great-Aunt Arlene, and his endearing modesty esp., not thinking of himself as 'very perceptive or smart', seemed very Neville (I'll admit i had difficulty picturing Neville 'smirking', though, and he got a touch brusque, for him in some spots). (one of the little details that struck me as esp. good post-war was Seamus' mum rumored to still have her protective charms up- nice!)

Luna, even more, seemed very in-character throughout- i could picture her in her frock w/ its 'odd-shape' and the "Rabbits don't lay eggs!" seemed very matter-of-fact Luna. i didn't really think she'd take criticism from Pansy that seriously- though it seemed she was more upset about Neville, but Pansy was very Bella-ish w/ her baby talk and a perfect villainess-lite for this piece. great to see Neville put her in her place w/ his 'how long'd you stay and fight'. not a pairing i usually go for; but this was just adorable. nice work Sadie, good luck and keep writing! :D

I really adored the characterisation Sadie - Luna's got that eccentric appeal, but she's real, not just a nutjob rambling about weird creatures. Neville's awesome too, and I really loved his last line ...

Aww! SOO cute! I love Luna/Nevile, and you did it SO perfectly! I LOVED that! The genuine Nargle thing was quite cute! And the end was sweet-and standing up to Pansy was awesome! Go Neville! Great job! Most definitely on my favorites list!
