New reader here! I watched the underworld films for the first time at the beginning of the year and realized that there were few fanfics that were being regularly updated. I almost didn't read Prelude for seeing that it was being posted since 2008 but curiosity spoke louder and how good it was, since I was surprised by an intriguing narrative and wonderful writing.
Mr. Lucian is very interesting, I think you have a somewhat different view of him than what was presented in the films, but that didn't bother me at all, I think the character is even more complex and attractive here.
I loved the whole construction of lycan ciltura and I have no idea how a romance between the horde master and an exiled vampire will survive in the midst of the caps of the society in which they live.
I was starting to think that this way it would take the older readers for years and years for the chapter to say that Reinette recovers youth, but then I was surprised by chapter 72. I do not believe that two decades have passed from the beginning of the story to this point, impressive.
As you left in the final note of the first chapter, I was able to see all the similarities between the relationship between Lucian and Reinette and the tale of Beauty and the Beast, even if they were small. I love the historical references and details of this fanfic. I went on your profile to look for more underworld fanfics and I realized that Nigthrunner was posted before Prelude, and I was furious to see Reinette's supposed fate as I like happy endings, but also happy to know that I will have something to read when Prelude is done :)

I confess that I miss more dialogues in history, but I understand that the constant narration of the facts was necessary to cover the years. I hope to be able to see in detail the new phase of the relationship between Lyosha and Reinette, since I started reading the story for that reason and I think it will be my favorite part.

Now things will get more tense, right? We arrived in the twenties, Lucian made a deal through Freyja's hand and Kolya appeared to return Reinette's youth. I can't wait to know what will happen next, please update soon.

I DO NOT BELIEVE IN WHAT I AM READING. THIS CHAPTER IS SO PERFECT!

First, I loved how Reinette handled the whole situation of her prison as it is easier for her to stay in the North than to be close to a man she cannot have. It's amazing how noticeable Lucian became fond of her by sending her a puzzle and visiting her even for a short time, then giving her such a luxurious room. I can't wait for when HE falls in love with her, because Reinette's feelings are already guaranteed so far. And my god, he accepted a marriage agreement with Freyja, I don't even want to see the confusion within the horde when he falls in love with Nette (actually I do and I'm more than looking forward to it).
She regained her youth in an unusual way in my vision, as I thought that bottle had been lost forever ... Good that I was wrong. Please come back to post this wonderful story soon as I don't know if I can take months of waiting to find out what happens next. Be safe.

I'm so surprised by the way that Reinette and Freyja approached, but I can see a lot of 'bad blood' in the future of their friendship. About Freyja, I wish I could read more about her, she seems to be the typical woman who has been subjugated her whole life and although her obsession with Lucian is something much more political than a platonic passion, it is still something to feel sorry for since we know that your plans will be broken. I can't wait to see Lucian's reaction to seeing the young version of Reinette, I kept imagining these scenes several times and I bet that things got tense between them. Now he will have to play chess with a beautiful woman instead of an old lady with whom he spent twenty years. I think that twenty years of friendship is enough for things to start happening between them, I am so anxious that you can hardly imagine.
