That was a fun read. Looking through the reviews I'm glad I'm not the only one who did not understand Hermione's POV. Apparently highly logical and a fully-trained auror yet she trips over a cloak and injures herself, nearly drowns, is kidnapped, is just overcome with fear on returning to the lair, and is almost immediately overpowered when she returns to the battle while regularly assuring everyone she isn't a liability. That just doesn't add up. Neither does the seemingly random appearances of the German international apparition office. Is it mandatory or not? But overall a fun, easy read with cliffhangers that keep the reader interested.

Honestly Hermione was being really fucking stupid in this chapter and hsould have just stayed back instead of being a huge distraction. She should have thought all of that through logically or at least listened to everyone elses logic, even Ron didn't think it was a good idea.

lovely and exciting

eh, this was alright. Quite a few spelling mistakes (or: chocking instead of choking), the relationship development is a bit meandering, but the most frustrating part was the big ol' fight scene at the end. The author does that hair pulling thing you see in the movies, where in the middle of a dangerous crisis, the characters are all arguing loudly about who goes who stays, multiple times, instead of focusing on the mission. Lord have mercy.

Excellent first chapter, I like the scene setting and then the reveal.
