Yeah, there's no way Dean's leaving behind his brother, car, or gun. Like you said, he has so little that what he has he keeps safe with a vengeance.

Perfect! It would be a priority for Dean, getting his 'baby' and everything in her trunk back, and his shotgun that was John's. And can so imagine Dean wanting to drive, getting Sam to pull over! Perfect banter at the end there ... camping, after being cooped up, maybe! :)

Always thought the boys had to indulge in alittle B&E to get the Impala back - on more than one occassion. That said I thoroughly enjoyed your gentle tale of breaking and entering on behalf of the Impala and Dean's shotgun. Well done.

LOL! Oh gosh, you kill me with Dean’s dialogue. It’s so in character, and hilarious.

I liked Sam’s probing for what was wrong with Dean, and Dean totally picking up on it.

hey, I've got a question about the refraction indices. isn't a refractive index related to the no. of degrees that light refracts when passing from one medium to another? like a flashlight bending when it enters water? how would taht work with cotton or polyester? I can understand teh fiber-optics thing, but not clothing material. could you explain that?

A good story like all your others. Currently woking my way through all your first started with season 1, but then just decided to start at the beginning with your first published one. With all the good stories you write, and with me currently reading Season 2, I'll probably have all your stories read by the time the series ends. Keep it up.

I'm working my way through Season Two for the first time, and I always read your story or stories after each episode to fill in the blanks. This one caught my attention even more than the others; the conversation in the car at the end so perfectly captures the words and the gestures that each of the boys would use that I had no problem seeing and hearing the scene in my head. Great work, as always!

Enjoyed this very much. Love the "and that's why I didn't just spit it out" exchange. So very them. And yay to liberating the Impala. It really is the third member of the team, isn't it? *grin*
