OEgirl chapter 4 . 6/5/2009
OMG...I thought I had read all of the Kyouya and Tamaki fiction possible but was pleasantly surprised when I found this one and I have to say...It Is Completely Amazing And You Need To Update Today or I Might Have To Freak Out On You! :)
eternalxice chapter 2 . 11/2/2008
I really like this story and I think you should continue it.
Tishu chapter 1 . 10/27/2008

DarkHuntress01 chapter 4 . 10/22/2008

Tishu chapter 4 . 9/28/2008
Ohh I REALLY can't WAIT for the next update, and the one after that, and the one after that and so on.

Your plot lines are all...wonderfully different, bordering on truly original (Which NEVER happens). Your characterization is also fascinating and wonderful.

You're one of my favorite authors on here by far.
Tishu chapter 3 . 9/28/2008
Ohh god the end was horrible.

It was fantastic, but...horrible...
Shikabane-Mai chapter 4 . 7/8/2008
This fanfic is great. I love the whole idea of this, of having Tamaki and Kyouya competing. It would make so much sense if this were to happen on the show.

Also, the ending of this chapter was great. The way you have Kyouya only thinking of things scientifically. Fuyumi asked him what the definition of power meant, and he only was able to provide the scientific definition. I love the way you've portrayed both Kyouya and Tamaki in this fic!
Adi88 chapter 4 . 6/3/2008
“Kyouya waited fifteen minutes before calling in the lo-jack on Tamaki’s cell phone and tracing it to a room near the West Library.”

- Now, that just thrills some odd little nerdy corner of me in a way that is probably not healthy. Also I have rationalized my lateness: you keep treating me to lovely readings, and then I already know the chapters and get lazy with the thank-you notes. So it’s basically all your fault that I am a flake. No, really, I shall to be trying harder. Anyway!

“Two of them lay facedown, keeping his place and snapping the spines.”

- I actually don’t know what exactly I like about that sentence; something with the duality. Just pleases me. Maybe it’s sort of THEM - Tamaki just did it for the place-keeping, and Kyouya looks and knows that but also categorizes the collateral damage.

And you know how much I… Tamaki… oh this scene. The depths of not-rightness are plumbed. Everything unravels. And of everything, nothing makes me go all cold quite so much as this: “ ‘Can’t disappoint the princesses,’ he said with a joking, almost bitter, but mostly just tired tone.” Because that… is sacrosanct. That’s everything Tamaki is, where all his energy goes. When he can’t even take that seriously any more, he is seriously low on being able to care about anything.

“ ‘You can’t,’ Kyouya said bluntly, and then needed a reason. ‘We’re at school.’ ”

- Reason-needing. Because Tamaki is dangerous. I mean, at this point, Kyouya’s got to feel like a torturer or something.

“People sleep at school all the time.”

- We’ve been over the fact that I hate you for making me giggle despite being in a great deal of emotional pain, yes?

“So can’t I just sleep? For a second?”

- All that, and Tamaki, and those “I know”s and the last defenses - that he can hold against this, that Tamaki is reduced to this, and god, being that desperate for even a few minutes of pretend and getting turned down…

“You’re heartless.”

- I hate that so much. In a good way, but. Those flip sort of accusations he’d make all the time just because he wasn’t getting his own way, and then this. And Kyouya… all the same. He didn’t have to help. He did help… kind of, in a way, purely physically god he’s a bastard. But the believing it…

“Hunny watched him through two of Mori’s clients, and eventually hopped off the couch-turned-Empire-State-Building (Hunny was Faye Wray for this game, and Mori was… well.)”

- That. Should. Not. Be. Legal. The cute… right after all the heartlessnes… That is an overload of cute. Oh GOD.

“moderately priceless”

- Because that’s awesome.

“Kyouya watched him go and was too clever to let Hunny manipulate him. He could cut through cute like pulling a petal from a flower.”

- Hair-pulling and wonderful all at once. And the sun, and “less shiny” and all that… is so beautifully Hunny. Boy knows what he’s doing. He has planted germs of ideas, whether Kyouya likes it or not. A day without sunshine…

Oh god, he remembered his name this time. It’s almost like an apology to both of them, even if he doesn’t say it out loud. The name.

“Asuka nodded smartly, accepting the implications that he should choose a path inside satellite range and without tunnels and the soundproof divide should be stuck up between them.”

- One of those small awesomes…

Whoshite here we go it’s the grandma call isn’t it.

“I realize that we haven’t spoken for many months.”

- Because even being spoilered, that they HAVE spoken still makes my stomach flip.

“But I believe that the missive also stipulated that I could interfere when the agreement overstepped its bounds and entered the realm of my interest.”

- Gorram if she hasn’t met her match. Eventually. One way or another. It’s framed in such chilly terms, but… There’s a thing. he’s trying. Tamaki is his interest. [Well. Tamaki and the Club’s earnings, but still.]

“Kyouya knew that this meant he couldn’t make a difference in her opinion if he wrote a dissertation.”

- And the chest-blow.

“Stop. Now. You ask too much.”

- Six little words and… well. I’m a mess. Oh minimalist tragedy…

“Nearly?”

- I kind of want to hit her for that. Really. Hard.

“He couldn’t remember what day it was.”

- And then, like he has to make out to be bad ENOUGH… I am not feeling rational in my anger, and this displeases me, though it’s a thumbs-up for you.

“You don’t know the effort he is exerting in this.”

- I can’t get mad at him, though, even when this is all he says to giving up.

“You’re bluffing.”

- SHITE.

“Is there something I should be pressing you to tell me about, Kyouya?”

- Ah, sweet Fuyumi. I adore that question. Sort of… pressure in and of itself, but not really.

“Fuyumi’s smile was blinding, even without seeing it directly.”

- Also like that. Prettily put.

“In physics, the equation for work is force applied times distance moved. No matter how much effort is expended, no work has been done if nothing changes.”

“Science test tomorrow?”

- Because it… trivializes his efforts, which is bad but at least means he knows he has to do something else [right?], and is painful but then undercutting it with the “test” thing is funny and a good idea. Only then you look another second and… well. Tests. Studying. It’s all about winning, innit.

She’s so calm and awesome.

“The fact that you called. It’s worth something. It would be, to him.”

- Yes. Oh god please. Throw the boy some water in the desert, since you didn’t accomplish anything else! And now we’re well beyond what you read to me and I am flailing.

“It wouldn’t help anything.”

“It might help him.”

- I sort of want to just lock Tamaki up with her somewhere, or shake Kyouya or something, because if that isn’t the perfect… fixing things and circumstances, that’s… exactly what Kyouya’s used to being able to do. But if he can’t this time, he needs to play the people card, the emotion one, and he’s so used to not being able to depend on messy things like that that he CAN’T and it is. not. good.

“No, Kyouya. It’s yours. You’re an enabler. Who was always at the center of Tamaki’s support?”

- Oh lovely. I do so adore these things.

“In physics, do you know the equation for power?”

“I don’t care. Do you know the definition of the word?”

- You’re on the phone right now and awesome and having won ampleficathon. It is distracting. But that is a beautiful set of phrases there. Sort of defining. Their characters. Math and literature. It is so eloquently rendered.
Hatori Soma chapter 4 . 5/26/2008
Physics evil... though not as evil as chemistry *shivers*. Anyways, good work so far. Update soon!
Maskelle chapter 4 . 5/26/2008
Oh poor Tamaki, He is not his self anymore. I can never understand how somebody could be so uncaring towards her grandson. Kyouya must find a way out of this mess. Loved it and cant wait for the next chapter!
Mechanism Unknown chapter 4 . 5/23/2008
Poor Tamaki. :( I really liked this chapter. Though I found Kyouya's interaction piece with Honey a little odd, I'm always a fan of a well done piece involving the former's interaction with Fuyumi. The physics metaphors were a nice touch, too. :P

Shirakawa Myself chapter 4 . 5/23/2008
This is a very nicely-written story - you have a very unique style, it's a little different from most people's. I await the rest of your story eagerly ]
Paon chapter 4 . 5/23/2008

RococoSpade chapter 3 . 5/11/2008
whoa... damn grama killed the loophole with that last phone call, too...
Shirakawa Myself chapter 3 . 5/11/2008
This is really well-written (I know I've said it before but I don't really care) but my only problem is I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!

Please please finish/update this story soon! Incidentally, I think your grasp of Kyouya's character is excellent - none of the characters are OOC at all, and Kyouya's reactions are perfectly matched to himself in the show.
