Okay I’m horrible and haven’t reviewed until now.
I’m really enjoying this story (these stories) so far. I love the relationship blossoming between Gambit and Rogue and the way you write them.

I’ll be better at reviews in the future but for now I’m excited to read the next chapter.

In the year of our lord 2019, I discovered your Flight fics for the first time, and they are absolutely delightful.

So I read Flight so many years ago and loved it, but I must not have been paying attention because I completely missed the sequels! Like Flight, this was a lot of fun, and I love how you write Rogue and Remy's relationship with each other.

*sigh* another wonderful story!

Allons Voler. It didn't feel like a sequel but like another episode. I liked that. Reading your story felt like a fitting continuation. Sinister was always such a jack ass, not a very educated insult.. but it is what it is. Love this one, loved the way you brought in the new villain and definitely the mansions interactions with their new addition.

By the way, thanks for the reminder of the French language. You have been giving my brain a kick start. I've been doing my best not to read your translations to see if my mind could recall and so far so good. I'm not as rusty as I thought I was.

I love how the rapport between Gambit and Scott develops towards the end of this story. These two have the potential for an interesting friendship, under the right conditions.

I still find your Gambit a little soft around the edges. For one thing, he is a lot more in touch and open with his emotions than I would expect. With his background - and especially with the hurt of his exile so fresh - I think he would be more emotionally stunted, and would rationalize joining the Xmen a little differently to protect himself from getting hurt again. Don't get me wrong, I find the idea of Gambit returning to Rogue and the Xavier school to regain a lost sense of home incredibly powerful, I just think he would have struggled a lot harder to admit this to himself and the others.

I do wish your Sinister was a bit more menacing in the end - I think he actually said "please" at one point! Hope you don't mind the belated critique, I'm interested in where this series is headed and trying to catch up.

Sorry, just had to put this out there... pretty sure that ALL of the acolytes are older than the X-men by a couple of years, enough so that they're all out of high school. And while I can see you pushing Remy's age down to 19, maybe even 18, I don't see him as someone who hasn't already graduated high school.
The way you were phrasing things in the 'contract' made it sound like Remy's going to be going to school with the rest of the kids. When I'm pretty sure he's older than Scott, who's graduated highschool by this point in time...
If you want to ignore that, go for it! It just seems weird to me, and if you do decide to put him into high school you might want to put a note in is all.
Otherwise, really liking this story.

In accordance with Remy's remark about Yankees I have to agree. A few years back my school got three boys from up North and they were the rudest little snots in the world. Nearly gave one of the teachers a heart attack and tried to go where were he wasn't invited. Needless to say my town was very happy when they moved.
