I liked this alot. I especially like the fact that you put a different perspective on Ukitake and Shunsui's relationship. I found that it ended rather suddenly though. I wish you had written more about how the relationship developed, you have already proved that you are good at it. Keep writing!

Oh this story was so nice, I loved it!

You know you could write a story somewhat like this, where Shunsui as also in love with Nanao and after Ukitakes death he tries to cheer her up. ... and they fall in love!

Aww, that was...perfect. Tragic and romantic and why hasnt anyone else ever considered that maybe Nanao would like to have a relationship with someone a LITTLE tamer than Shunsui? LOL

Aw. . .that was really sweet. There's not enough Ukitake/Nanao out there, and this was such a great story. I have a few issues with your grammar, but nothing glaringly obvious. Write another Uki/Nanao fic soon!

The dialogue between Shunsui and Ukitake in this chapter - beautifully written. It was like listening to twins speak.

The kiss seemed rushed, especially since he asked her to stay and talk. My mind couldn't really make the jump from "talking" to "kissing."

Given that these reviews come many months after you originally wrote this fanfiction, I doubt they'll really be relevant. -shrug-

This is very well-written (but I'm sure you already know that). I have a couple of issues, though:

1. You say that the shop isn't open on Mondays and Tuesdays. Nanao's first day was on a Thursday, meaning that she did the paperwork on a Wednesday, and that she asked for the job on Tuesday. That threw me a little bit.

2. Overall, I loved your dialogue. However, you tended to end speech with actions. While this isn't bad, it didn't always give access to the characters and their moods. How someone says something is just as important as what they do when speaking.

3. I wanted more description of the shop! I was getting a warm feeling from it, but I didn't logistically know how anything was placed. This is AU, I don't know the settings you're using, which means I need them described to me more than usual.

Other than that, I'm enjoying this. Your unique take on the characters (while keeping them in-character) is refreshing.

Onwards to the next chapter!

Well, this is something new - UkiNana. I searched and it is the only (ONLY) UkiNana fic here at ffNet. I was getting tired of ShuNa, and while reading this, I think Ukitake and Nanao suit each other well.

Any plans of writing another Ukitake x Nanao fic?

Sweet...the ending seemed too abrupt, but it was a good read, nonetheless. I hope you continue to do these alt pairings.

Well-written and well-paced, loved the plot and the characterizations. Extremely depressing ending, though. They got married but she left him alone to travel even though she said she'd keep him company until he died and they didn't even have children.

I am sad. In a happy way, though, but still sad.

And, for the record, Matsumoto/Shunsui is amazing.

Anyway! I loved it! Gah! Death! Always nice to put in, but geeze! I am sad.

i have to admit i wasn't sure if i was going to like the nanao/ukitake pairing, but i did with the way you wrote it! this was a beautiful story and i enjoyed all of it! well done!
