Good story though

So sad! I used to imagine the same sort of thing,but instead of Hobbes it was my old friends Jeeves and Bear.
Anyway really nice story. It had me in tears .

Damn. I'd never connected those two - but ... it is so strong of a connection. But there is hope that Hobbes will live again, and maybe Calvin will be inspired to help him live on again in the form of music, or a comic strip...

It also reminded me of the movie Secondhand Lions, which had a young boy who grew up to draw comic strips very reminiscent of Calvin and Hobbes (though they were actually drawn by Berkeley Breathed).

As children, magic is so close. I just wish it were not so easily lost as we grow older.
